There is no way that Pakistan could ever say they did not know Osama Bin Laden was there living in their country. I believe from the day he arrived at the compound 5 years ago till last Sunday when he was killed, that the Pakistan Government knew his whereabouts. As far as I'm concerned they were helping a fugitive and can't be trusted at all in my opinion. What are your thoughts and comments. Do you feel the same or do you feel differently.

I think they knew, or at least the military part of the government did. I think that the U.S. trusts way too many countries who are working against us and we should quit giving foreign aid to people who don't like us and are working against us. We can use that money here at home to help our own people. I'm also for bringing home most of our troops and concentrating on protecting our own shores instead of the security of other countries. Especially those that don't want us there.

You are so right on all counts. We need to bring out men and women home once and for all. Let them only protect our shores.

dragon54u,
No offense here but I feel that your country should know the consequences that comes with it when one deals with the devil himself.
You will just be played.
Time and again, these people have been acting as if they are so overwhelmed by these extremist factions when in the first place they are breeding them in their own backyards.
I simply cannot believe that your country's reputable intelligence agencies and sophisticated technologies did not know it. I suppose that is where the other ugly side of politics come in, undermining the grave consequences for a barrel of oil and at the price of thousands of American soldiers' lives.

Pakistan of course knew Osama Bin Laden's whereabout, but they didn't reveal because they actually need Bin Laden on some degree.ISI also knew but only included few intelligencer who maybe needed money or some ways to go when necessary.US need Pakistan to support Afghan war,no matter trust them or not.

I feel like they are pretending not to have known. I am sure they did. They are not trustworthy.

They are definitely not trustworty. I know if our Government had tipped off Pakistan's Government Bid Laden would have gotten away, because they would have helped him escaped.

lelin1123,
I believe there have been many tell tale signs that the Talibans and Al Qaeda cell are actually in Pakistan. Starting with intelligence and satellite pictures of their training camps in the rural mountains. As Pakistan, the country repeatedly denied their existence, I think the rest of the world just shook their heads in disbelief about the absence of vital leadership and these camps.
The next tell tale sign was the Mumbai massacre which led the attackers being traced back to Pakistan where they originated and trained for that attack. With both pressures from their neighbor India and other UN member countries, Pakistan had no other choice but to lead a major offensive against them.
However, I am sure you will agree with me that it was just mere theatrics where there was no capture or killing of the cells' notorious leaders including the most wanted Bin Laden.
Guess what?
He was actually holed up in a luxuriously large mansion erected near Pakistan's prolific military academy and residence of many top army officers. What a joke? I am sure Bin Laden must have been laughing his head off in that compound of his as he lived it out as a harem inside.
How could Pakistan not have known?
Such a big compound and located at the most sensitive area which is believed to be security tight. It is such a big build up and I refuse to believe that the piece of land where the house sits does not belong to a Pakistani. I refuse to believe that the permit for that house does not belong to a Pakistani. I refuse to believe that all the utilities are not registered under a Pakistani. Last of all, I refuse to believe that this particular Pakistani to be any mere local resident because of the degree of sensitivity on that place.

Exactly, how could they have not known. He was living it up for the past 5 years in this compound not far away from the military base. The military would know what is within 500 miles around them just for security reasons.

I agree w/u. Anyone who would harbor such an evil person can not be trusted. U know they knew he was there.

Yes he was in that one compound for the past 5 years. Before that we have no idea where he was. Living there for 5 years in one place there is no way that the people and the government of Pakistan didn't know he was there.

As an American and a survivor of 9/11 I don't think he had any type of good side to him. He was a horrible mean person that I'm happy to see is finally off the face of the earth once and for all. Is intention was to kill as many Americans as he could. A person like that has no good side in my opinion.
