If somebody FARTED in public, how would you react?

With everyone having cell phones jammed to their ears, I'm surprised anyone heard it. The sound doesn't bother me, just the smell. I find it worse when someone belches close to you in a crowded bus or on the metro.

To be honest people farting do not really bother me, as long as i do not have to put up with a stink,lol.I think that when you need to fart, you really need to fart or it can cause stomache ache.I think there are people that tend to go outside to fart, but i do not,lol.I fart and then blame the cats or the children, mainly if it stinks.

I'm not sure how I would actually react. I think it would all depend on my mood alot fo times. Regardless, that is embarrassing and very rude to do in public.

I'd fart right back at them. It's only polite.

I think I would rather help the embarrassed individual by not drawing attention to the occasion and simply ignore what happened. I understand that sometimes we cannot control our body urges and our body simply wants to relieve itself whenever ways that it wanted (or to the point of cannot holding the reaction back). In this situation, the body doesn't care whether the owner of that body is in a social situation or not. Like many body urges, we cannot control some things in our body. the best thing to do is to understand the concerned individual's predicament and what it feels if you were the one who 'accidentally' let out air in your bottom in a public area.

I just giggle and don't take much notice, I mean i totally understand that sometimes you can't help it as i have been in that situation many times before,althouh I made it look like it was someone else(lol)

It will be very embarrassing. Perhaps I will try to pretend I didn't hear the fart and therefore this person who farted might feel released. I love China

I don't care about loud ones as long as they don't come with smellies and most of the time it's hard to pinpoint who actually was responsible for it. Anyhow, I keep my mouth shut and don't even contemplate laughing lest I inhale somebody's "gas emission."

Hey there vesvius! Well, I've got to admit. I'll feel disgusted with it. I'll probably thinking "GROSS!". Hahaha! Really, even if it's just a joke, I'll probably... mosty likely think that way. :] Happy mylotting!

I would only be disgusted if the smell would be putrid but the sound for me would actually just be funny. I mean, it's natural to fart. It's nothing to be too embarassed about but we should all be courteous enough to realize that other people won't be as comfortable with your farting as much as you are.

I remember a folklore says "it's better to steal carabao rather than girl fart in front of people."lol.

Farting is completely natural. Some people have more gas problems than others, and maybe those who don't have gas problems need to understand that. Sometimes a person farts without knowing he's going to fart, so people shouldn't get mad. I think it's ridiculous when people make it into a matter of etiquette. I mean, if a person deliberately farts, that's annoying. But if it's just an accidental one, no one should care.

Dang reaction as everyone else.. look at them with disgust. Unless theyre a senior or a toddler.

I don't really care when someone farts in public. They have the courage to do so, and there's so much pollution and other disgusting things in the air, someone's fart isn't even going near me, so I don't see why people get so moved by it. We all do it.

I'd probably ignore it and walk on.

I have also come across many situations where a guy farts in public.. and honestly i tell you this is very disgusting in nature.. Weather created a fake sound or farted actually.. People will tend to take that the person had farted. My first reaction is i close my nose if such things happens when i see at people LOL i really laugh at times because they keep on looking at each other that who really the prank is..

I would probably pretend that i did not notice. i don't know who would be more embarrasses about it, them or myself? It is not the most pleasurable social act to encounter, but at least it is a natural one.

I would laugh probably and even if I didn't do it, I would feel kinda embarrassed. The biggest thing I would be thinking is "what if people think it was me?" LOL

Ahah! I think I'd stay amazed and then I'd go away cause the bad smell! :P Sometimes happens that some farts go out, it's a bit embarrassing!

I would pretend I had not noticed it. Why make someone feel embaressed?
