Exam nightmares!!

Ughh I had exams last week and did well in all of the subjects except for one. And that was also my last subject before we had holidays. The thing is, the paper was really tough and most of us did really bad and now I'm having nightmares about it. It's been two days with the similar kind of dream where I reach my exam hall quite late. Then I try to write the answers but I can't, my hands won't move or I simply blank out!! It feels so real and scares the hell out of me!! Have you ever experienced this kind of experience, where you do something in reality and it won't leave you alone even in your dreams??

I love exams,i want to take exams always rather than listening too long lectures. I like it when our prof gave us exams soon as he/she enters the room.

HI angel! I love both. I want to have an exams or quizzes so I don't have to listen to his and her lecture- sometimes its really makes me want to go to sleep. While when I need to read and revised the notes back I missed to hear the lecturers' lectures so I don't have to do so.

I experienced the same thing when I was high school. I got failing grade on my favourite subject Mathematics. I can't believe how did it happen. Cuz I know, I perfect it. They manipulated my exams, the teachers who don't want me to be the honor student. Later on, we found that out. I cried for it for almost 2 weeks. For I know I don't really deserve it.

Wow, you really think about it that much. The only way for you to get out of your nightmare is- don't think about it again. You can't do anything to change it. So just let it go and wait for the result. I admit that me myself would feel the same especially if I did not do my best but usually I will just think about it for that time only as I don't like to mess my mind with something I already done and can do nothing to change it back. So don't think about it anymore okay!

Exam nightmares are routine phenomenons experienced by almost all students, we also during our student life faced the same problems. I personally felt anorexia, loose motion etc, always faced the apprehension of forgetting everything I had studied. But in the hall after the beginning of the exam, everything went on smoothly.

There is always butterflies in my stomach every time I sit for my exams or anything that make me feel nervous. The worst is if it still bother me till the end of the examination. It really can affect my focus and attention~

I can do pretty well, I mean I have no problems giving exams. While in exam hall I'm relaxed and everything but if I did bad, nightmares won't leave me alone.

Every student has exam nightmare. It's normal things because it will decide what will happen to us next. When I was student, I try to prepare as best I can to face examination, I will give my best and work out. But after pass it, frightened is all around, but I just let it flow even had a lot of nerveous. I will have fun with my friend and waiting for the result. After exam, it's really important to lose the stress and enjoy

When I was at university I studied English Literature. One of the exams had a word in it which many of the other students didn't know what it meant. I noticed some of them put a hand up and asked the lecturer. She wasn't permitted to say and I guess many of the students couldn't answer that question because they hadn't come across the word before. The word was "indoctrinate" and I knew what it meant. However we had a choice out of which books we wanted to cover on the exam paper. I had some horrible exam nightmares just before my exams in the weeks before they happened.

I don't think I ever experienced anything like that. However, I was in school so long ago maybe I did and forgot. You might have done better on the exam than you think, and as long as you did your best there is no reason to worry about it.

Hi thatgirl, Wow you had a rough few weeks there preparing and boy do I remember those gosh awful days. Yeah usually when I have something weigh me down, I tend to think about it way too much and then it spills over into my dream to the point where it exhausts me because they feel so real. Take it easy now and remember what you did while studying last week so that when the next set of exams come you change it up a bit.

Well i don't think there are any persons in here who would love exams except Sheldon Cooper from the Big Bang theory! I also have the pre exam jitters. Some make me wet myself also but hey i love taking the tension and risk it would be quite fun. I am having holidays now and it's kinda boring sitting here at home and doing nothing around much in here. So now you having exams friend? That's real tough but they are there for only a short time so i am sure you can handle yourself mate no? All The best! Cheers!

When I was in school, I don't remember feeling like that. But what I did do was try my best no matter what. Most of the tests that I did have never mattered later on in life for me. I learned more from TV believe it or not and just living in the real world. I am not saying that I did not learn in school, I did, but differently. Sometimes what's on paper does not always work in life, and visa versa.

No, I have never experienced such before. Maybe you are thinking too much of your exams, that's why you get these dreams. Just relax yourself and don't think too much. After all, the paper is already done badly and there's nothing much you can do about it now except to study hard for the future exams.

I also experience that especially when I feel that I would fail on that subject.. :( I can't sleep at time and sometimes I dream of it like a nightmare.. After my exam I really want to know my score right away because I don't want to be surprise or shock with my score. And if I did able to know my score after an exam I will really mind of thinking what are my mistakes in that subject.. I always think that i would have a low grade..

Exam nightmares are a part and parcel of every student's life, be he/she a brilliant student or not. Exams, though a real necessary part of our curriculum, are also the unhappiest part of our lives. And in dreams, it's forever a characteristic that you won't be able to do the thing which is an emergency for your well-being or even survival quickly enough. If a murderer is chasing you, you will always find your legs too heavy to run, if it's an exam, you'll find your fingers won't budge or the ink will run out!!! It's just a passing phase, the effects generally wear off a week after the exam. And if you want to stop having these dreams, then for starters, you may just stop pondering over the exam which you couldn't do well in. I had followed this way and it worked. Force your mind to think about all happy things just before you drift into sleep, and chances are high that you won't have these nightmares. Cheers.
