Ever seen an actual miracle?

I was thinking about this the other day when my lady mentioned my dad. He was a preacher (Methodist, if you're interested). We occasionally hear about "miracles" on the news, especially at the moment with the beatification of Pope JP whichever number he was.
I wondered if anyone here has actually experienced a miracle. In other words, something that simply cannot be explained by normal means and is so far outside the norm that even scientists go "Uh... hang on... I'll think of a reason in a minute...".
The reason I ask is because my dad did, so he told us (his sons) - and he wasn't the kind of guy to lie, I can assure you. A girl with a shriveled leg i.e. muscles all weak and useless, leg about 3-4 inches shorter than the other, that kind of thing - a physical condition she'd had since birth. A bunch of folks prayed over her and the next morning her leg was completely normal - not just better: completely normal. Same length, strong muscles, normal skin, everything.

Well I believe they happen around you daily in the shape of road accident in which some one kept safe and you can not get any reason why?. Like sometimes you need money but you don't know how and from where you will get but suddenly some one come to you and give you the same amount which you was needed very badly(money which you gave to some one as loan and forget). Don't you think its a miracle because at the moment you are thinking how and where I will get person arrive with money. Similar kind of things happening around us daily but we need the eye to see these miracles.

I think you are right. We must have our eyes open to see miracles. They are around us, some large and some small.

Personally over the course of my lifetime, I have seen and experienced a couple of Miracles in my life as well. From someone who has had to endure a lot of Health problems over the yrs. this means having some problems that could have caused a lot more problems than they have. Some things could have been really Bad. But for me it was the power of Prayer and a miracle that I am who and where I am today.
God has healed me from SEVERE depression. He healed my leg from being to where they said I was going to loose it, to where I was able to keep it, and even though I still deal with problems with chronic wounds, etc. it has never gotten back to the stage where it once was. Overall the miracles I have seen and continue to see in my life I know I could never Thank God enough for.

But, if we were back before the 1900s, and someone was dying of a bacterial infection, and someone fed them mold, nowadays known as penecilin, they would be cured, and nobody would have any idea why, and that would be called a miracle.
If someone brought what we saw as simple, light a flashlight or a stereo back to those times, they would be seen as demonic possessions or witchcraft.
I think that today, miracles can happen, but we have to be looking at them in a different way. Just because something happened that we do not have an automatic answer to why it happened, doesn't make it an act of god or the devil, it just makes it something we don't understand. I think believing in miracles is similar to believing in ghosts or UFOs or santa clause. You don't know how it happened, or quite what it was, but that doesn't mean that it doesn't have a real, straightforward, testable and provable answer.

Hi Spike! It was Good Friday when my father lost his eyesight. Came Black Saturday, our pet Japanese spitz bore a single puppy... When that puppy was born, my father got his eyesight back. It has been a week then and we thought the puppy has delayed opening of the eyeslits. As days went on, the puppy still has closed eyes. It was really born blind.
We believed it was a miracle. From then on, my father has decided to serve in the Church ministry. Not only that, he even built and designed the Shrine of Divine Mercy in our area.
Just months ago, my father has been complaining of blurredness again. He said, "I guess this one is really inevitible. I am old and I think it wont be long till blindness really strikes me."
Im scared...

Miracle - 'a spontaneous event that appears inexplicable by nature.'
The world is filled with spontaneous events, which we see every day and think nothing about. However when one of these spontaneous events take place that we cannot explain, it often becomes known as a 'miracle!'
These 'miracles,' are commonly publicized and used by religious orders to milk the cow of opportunity, and the milk goes directly into the church coffers. The facts are, there are no accidents, no such thing as luck, nothing ever happens by chance, and there are no miracles! However we have been given vivid imaginations, and we seem to enjoy using them!

Hi SpikeTheLobster, Is there really such a think as a miracle? According to the Bible, Jesus Christ performed what we would call miracles, but he didn't seem to think of them in that way. If it was a sick body, he saw the body as whole and well and so it was. Much the same kind of healing took place in the early days of Christian Science and again their leader, Mary Baker Eddy did not see them as miracles but as the true nature of the person. There have been other authenticated cases, some having to do with religion and some not. I have seen what some people would call little miracles. Blessings.

Miracles are everywhere
have you ever understand how life is going on? every process, every detail, compilation, coordination. Everything will make your magic meter is broken. Unfortunately many people are too busy and impatient to live with such a crowded miracle.

miracles do not always spectacular,
miracles only happen if we do not understand the process that runs behind it,
magician is not wonderful for me because I know there must be a trick behind it
but for small children, they do not know the "tricks behind the scenes" so to say that the magician was ...
MAGIC ......
