Yeah right. I thought I'd take a break from gardening today but nooo! The photo attatched shows the area I dug up, turned, added a weed barrier and then planted about 80 to 100 sweet corn seeds. So now I have eggplant, tomatoes, and maybe acorn squash again left to plant. Then on to the flower baskets etc. Sunday going to Mandys to visit our favorite nursery to get the last of the garden plants. Then rest, rest, rest. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

Once you got stirred up to garden there is no stopping you is there? I only planted the flower planters today. I will do more tomorrow maybe. I am needing to come up with some ideas for where and how I am planting some things.

I'm not sure that we'll plant corn again this year or not. We just planted it for fun before and last year we had several nice cobs but right as they were bout ready to harvest a squirrel came along and raided our corn as well as our neighbors. Hubby might be tilling our garden up tomorrow too we'll see what he actually does when the time comes.

Hello Grandpa Bob. How big is your garden after all and how many hours a day do you have to tend for it ? If i am not mistaken you are retired from work so this allows more free time to use it for gardening, right ? I might ask for some advice in gardening from you in the future if you don't mind of course. PS: tea or coffee breaks ? How about those ?

If I had to guess on the size, I would venture to say appoximately 200 square feet. Remind you this is a guess. I have a few areas where I have things planted though. Semi-retired. I am almost 57 and am my fathers caregiver so I stay home all the time tending to him. I would guess once everything is planted, I may spend 30 minutes to an hour daily tending to the garden etc. This is just the vegetables though. I have red rasberries, strawberries, apple trees, and a few large flower beds I tend to as well. Coffe for sure. I drink a few pots daily. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

The more you post about your lovely garden the more I am anxious to see the great result. Wonderful that you are going to the garden center and as for rest, HA! you will get more ideas. I know you are very happy with the gardening and will be even happier with the results when all the veggies begin to sprout. Have a great evening.

Glad you got all of that done for your garden. We hope to work on our garden today and put all of the tomato plants in and our corn too. Got the cages for the tomatoes yesterday also.

While you were writing this post, I was answering the one about the plants in containers. I asked you: weren´t you going to rest today? I planted some lettuce too. Thjey are too little so I don´t know whether they will be ok. But I have lots of sedings so I can afford to lose some. I wouldn´t like to, though. Tomorrow I rest. Mother´s day for me. The girls are doing something
