here in the Philippines, we are celebrating Mother's day. but as the country is celebrating the big day for mothers, my husband is in our neighbor watching Pacquiao-Mosley fight =( i felt so left-out because of the other big event of our fellow filipino, Manny Pacquiao. i was envy with some of my facebook friends who celebrate this day with their loved-ones, specially with their husband and kids. im not expecting something fabulous to celebrate it, but at least someone will greet me like my kids or my husband. but none of them greeted me. i feel like i was ignored. or they really don't appreciate me or the things i've done. am i asking too much? or it is not right to ask something in return for the things i am doing for them?

Hi martha: That's really sad and I don't think you are expecting too much. Make them know how much you appreciate this day. In my country, mother'sa day is very important. I have greeted my mother and I'll invite her to go to the movies as my gift for her. There's only a person you call 'you mother'. Mothers role is the most special one. There's only one mother's love and it can't be replaced. So I think this date is very important.

yeah, poor me =( i just want them to say a simple 'Happy Mother's Day Mama, we love you!!!" and that's it. those simple words can already melt my heart. im not asking for material things because we dont have enough money to buy gifts. so i just want to hear that they appreciate me. well, maybe its not my day. but im still hoping next year they'll greet me (hopefully :( )
