It's darn hot this morning when i leave house to attend an event.
Suddenly it becomes cloudy and rain shower starts pouring by noon.
I am happy when the wind blows a little colder...so cool for my rashes (i like it)
I'm back home this afternoon and the rain pours harder and going strong.
I checked outside and found that there's water everywhere (oh my)
One mylotter texted me and asked about our condition.
She's worried because rain is pouring so hard that she needs to close her business for the say due to this hard rain and floods.
Okay,i like when it rains.
But NO!...if this rain won't stop or slowed down a bit my car will be drowned
My house flooring is one meter higher than the road...but this drainage problem's not yet been solved throughout the summer causes this flood.
Now,i'm really worried there's water everywhere
You can see in the photo where some of my neighbor's house are already flooded inside (those ones with low floorings)
it's summer and there is flood in my place :(
Have a great Sunday everyone

hello friend,
Thanks for your concern and being fast to response to my SOS hehehe.
Well, this is not a flood that will cause the whole town submerged.
This flood is only caused buy clogged drainage that our barangay is not trying to resolve thinking that summer will lasts till last week of June.
But this low pressure gives rain everywhere and now causing some problem.
My place is somehow safe my friend...i am just worried bout my car...i can't take it till the second floor (hahahaha)
Thanks for the greeting and greet your wife a "HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY" too

Done this morning with a sweat smille.
Oh I thought is about flood by rain. Normally clogged drainage is the main caused of unusual flood. Anyway your correct unable to lift your car to the second floor but you can tied your car so that flood cannot flown away... he he.

Hi jaiho!
Summer has really ended, hasn't it? It's been raining since this morning here, too and I really don't like it. Yesterday was really hot and sunny and I thought next week will still be sunny and we can still go for a swim. I don't like summer but I don't like rainy days, too. Like you I like cooler days minus the rain, I get allergies when it's too hot and humid and I can't go out when it's raining. It'll be a problem to drive with my scooter under the rain. I don't know if I'd ever want to drive under the rain. It seems like a hassle.
We also get the problem of flood during typhoons. Typhoon Ondoy was a real disaster. That was the first time I had to walk thru a flooded pathway and it was really icky. While I was walking I can't help but imagine the garbage and all those domestic wastes in the water. Our office was also flooded that time. It was really terrible. I just wish it doesn't happen again.

I think not all complaint we throwing to the government because of what happened like garbage, drainage clogging - we have also a responsibility to do and preventing any garbage clogged in the drainage - we should learn our own lesson before the other. I know government also..

first off, happy mothers' day jaiho.
earlier this morning, i was chatting with the same mylotter (i guess hehe) online while having a late breakfast and she said it was raining at their place then whereas it's only a drizzle from where i was this morning. i traveled to my home province and i found out it has been raining the entire day. fortunately, we never have floods in our area.
i hope the flood will not rise in your area and that you keep safe. i worry when i hear floods because of the memory of a typhoon 2 years ago that devastated portions of metro manila. i hope there won't be a repeat.
take care

I know how it is dear myles.
I had same experience way back 1990 when an earthquake hit my hometown.
I was here in metro working by that time and i never think twice to pack up some of my things and travel that unending road leading to where my family is.
I know it...i can still feel the feelings...fear,excitement and hope

Our place was flooded yesterday too, about knee deep on the road. We live right by a creek that overflows so this isn't new to us, but this was the first flood of the year - very early really. But what we've learned is that when the rain starts to pour, we take our cars to higher ground and park them there until the flooding subsides or the rains go away. It's better to park them elsewhere as soon as it starts pouring really hard, rather than worrying whether the water has already reached inside the car.
I hope you and your family are okay :)

I told my di repeatedly - dont cry or feel sad and pity yourself... now the results are showing... Even god cannot handle so much pain and tears from my di. Then yesterday bhaby was relenting that di is not going on a date with her... that too added here... now that it is floods around, you and bhaby will be together in the house and I hope that there will be some comfort from the already so much of heat...
Dear, enjoy the floods too at times these flash floods are good!!
Sorry, I am quite upset since the last two days and do not want to add further to my sorrows writing out the gloomy sulking response that I could have on this thread.

Hi. jaiho2009. I really do hope that the rain stops so that you all can go back to your normal lives of living. This is so much of water and it is very difficult for you all to walk outside or even be in your own homes! I pray that God will stop the flooding in your country. I could no imagine how terrible it is to not be able to walk on dry grounds because of this flooding. I hope that this flooding passes away really soon. Take care and please stay safe as much as possible too.

hello cream,
Thanks for your wishes and concern dear.
Now it's raining in the evening, but not so hard and hoping that the municipality has given proper attention with the drainage, there will be no flood here in our area.
But i doubt, since some residence are not cooperating with cleanliness and proper garbage disposal which makes the drainage clogged and causes these unwanted floods even in metro cities.
it's really hard to have such situation like this.
thanks again and have a great day always

Hi didi...
I understand your problem and perhaps my province suffers highest from flood in India. We lose animals, human, rices or paddy fields, houses, families. People take shelter on refugee camps and most often flood comes breaking embankments.
But, here as i have seen your pic.. it does not seem like flood which will run months. It seems that it will all out after the rain stops and later few hours.. no water will be there. It happens on certain cities of India. the main reason of it poor drainage system of density of population.
I think bhaby was there...
have a nice day and hope everything will be fine very soon.

dear bhai,
Yes,it's not a flood that will take a month to subside.
Once the rain stops, the water's gone too.
But still this cause so much trouble as i can't go out with that dirty waters.
Yah same thing here in metro cities, clogged drainage are the main causes for this flooding.
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to our mom...give my hugs to her

So it was 5 days ago, i am sure you are safe now, in cities here, the drains are clogged by polythene bags etc, when there is heavy rain of say 15 minutes, you can see an artificial flood on road, the municipality here is silent over this very important issue..
Thanks for sharing Jai beta, be happy always.
Cheers, have a wonderful day.

Aahh, that's always been a problem in our country, sigh! Even in our place,if it rains contineously for an hour, for sure there'll be floods! Good thing our street is not yet flooded but most of the other streets are already flooded so we can't go out.
I just hope the rain will stop overnight 'cause it's really alarming, afraid of what might happen again,oh my!

Hi! Even here in the southern part of the Philippines, we experience unusual rains during this summer. It rains frequently, that's why instead of saying "it's a hot summer", we say the other way around, "it's a cold summer here". This is now the effect of global warming. As the temperature rises, it may cause erratic weather conditions which could bring about frequent severe floods, droughts, storms and heat waves. Let us do our share to control the effects of this global problem, no matter how seemingly small it is. If we do it hand in hand, it will still make a difference.

Thanks Jaiho! Let's hope too that other people will realize that we need to cooperate and do something to curtail global warming. The efforts that we do now may somehow improve climate conditions.

Hello Sis Jaiho,
Happy Mothers day, I am sorry i wasn't around to read you're discussion and your problem hours ago. I was kinda busy because not only my moms' friends came but also my siblings and their families came, i got so busy that i took a short nap afterwards. I think there is still a huge problem in the drainage. not because you have clean up stuff and the garbage comes back, its' the Drainage itself, they should at least built an under ground tunner to handle that amount of water.
Just imagine if small rain can do that flooding what more if it's a typhoon or tsunami. i hope there should be insurance to that or park it in a higher place. take care!

hello LK,
And you are still sleepy till this writing huh?
and greeted me with sleepy eyes hmp!!!
And what did you give to your mom my dear brother, and where's my gift too huh?
Okay, you can still post it or wait till our confe...but hey...it's started raining wahhhhh...
Oh,this flood is not normal here in my area.
This only started with "ondoy" maybe due to garbage that was washed all over the metro and might reached drainage here in our area.
I lived here for 12 years and this happens just recently.
And,even if my car is insured, calamities are not included in that comprehensive insurance my dear.
There might be some compensation but too little to cover up the damaged that might be done when the engine submerged to waters.
I better need a pulley or maybe a jack will do
Greet your mom for me okay...

I'm pretty sure everybody here in Marikina was getting all panicky when the rain wouldn't let up. My dad already made instructions that when the road in front of our house gets flooded, to immediately move our stuff to the shelves he wisely installed just right below our ceiling. Anyhow, we keep on tuning in to weather programs so we'll know if there's a big possibility of flooding and landslides, just to be ready.

I was up all night watching movies and I've listened to the wind howl. Actually I still hear it till now. My unit is on some floors up and you can really hear the wind singing or shouting depending on how you'll interpret it. As far as I can see, we're not flooded. Thank the heavens.
