First things first -- Happy Mother's day to all mothers here in mylot.
Well, I was supposed to go home with my boyfriend at my parents' house this Sunday but my mom told me she will just go here at my place because she has to buy something for our dogs. We were planning to buy a cake for my mom but since she will be the one to visit us, I thought of asking her to treat us out for lunch.
So, I did, I told her last night, "Mom, tomorrow is mother's day, it's your day so you should treat us." She said, "Sure! Why not?". So today, we went to buy some groceries for them AND FOR US. After that, we ate a late lunch, but anyways, it's her treat so I didn't bother.
How about you? What did you plan for your mother? Did you give her something special? Or it's the other way around like me? =)

Hello friend!
Thanks for the greetings! HAha,so it's the other way around in your case, funny!
Well,my parents live with me and we just all stayed here at home, watched Manny Pacquia's fight, haha! We had visitors,my parent's friends and we all had lunch here. We enjoyed watching Manny's fight and it's a victory, yehey! I know you know it,lol!
After watching, our visitors went home and me and my hubby gave mom money for her to go to a parlor and have some haircut and she did, haha! Just that simple friend!
See yah!

Well, that's still a celebration (double celebration). Hope you had a great bonding.
Yup, I know Pacman won but didn't able to watch his fight. When we're at the grocery, the staffs are yelling and talking about Manny's victory. How he fell and got the unanimous decision after. Such a lucky man.
And gladly my mom won, she bet for Manny pacquiao.

I really didn't have any plan for this day. I gave her a hug and a kiss after greeting her. That was it.
My father wanted to treat her our somewhere, but rain started to pour and it still is even while I am typing this post. So my mother decided to order four boxes of pizza and a bucket of chicken for us to eat. It was nice as I was able to eat a lot of slices as pizza happens to be one among many things that I like to eat. (^__^ )
I guess it was kind'a like the same in your case

Definitely!
I feel a little sorry for those who have to deliver food, be it through the scorching heat of the sun or under the blistering cold, but who else would do such things when we don't want to feel the hassle? (^_^")
Well, another feast for another holiday, I guess I can say..

I initiated giving our Mama a surprise treat yesterday. I asked my siblings who live with her to cook something special on Mother's Day and they agreed. I promised to come to our hometown, where they are , but unfortunately wasn't able to do so though.
It was typhoon signal no. 2 yesterday in our place, so my daughter and i weren't able to travel going there.
I just greeted her but i am happy because my siblings did cook some special foods that they partook yesterday. At least, i was able to lead them to give that surprise treat to our Mama.

Silly bebeng isn't she?
The typhoon somewhat destroyed Mother's day celebration for some places.
It's supposed to be summertime yet but there comes bebeng, ruining the day and everything.
Well, anyways, you did a good job too by planning some treats for your Mama.

That's cute and thoughtful. Surely your mom really like it.
Gosh, I didn't give my mom anything. Well, I just kissed her.
I forgot to make a handmade card like I used to give her when I was younger. I usually make poems for her too and she loves it. I guess I'm running out of words this time.
Welcome to mylot ludyvel!

My mother likes to go out and eat on Mother's day. i know she would like at least one day where she was not expected to cook dinner. i gave her money to go out and eat dinner tonight. She deserves at least that much.

Hi adnileb
Oh dont ask me how was today dear... Ma simply refused me to travel and was quite angry when I called her up in the morning that I would be visiting them... Nah, not because of anything else but my ill health... You know I am still recovering from Food Poisoning and she was like- we can meet up when you are better in health ans so avoid the travel today... Ma... That is what she was to say... and me, how could I stay away today? So I planned up a surprise for her, hired a cab and went off to her. Loved the food and yes, I gifted her a handmade card that contained some pics that I has taken on my camera in 1993-4 and we did have a great time together.
One thing I always felt - the food prepared by Moms is the worlds tastiest food and nothing - not even the 5-star restaurants can match that.

Hello sid..
Sorry to hear about your health. Hope it's not that severe and you're okay by now.
What you made today was so sweet. You still insist to go to your mom's house even though she doesn't. Well, you see how much your mother cares for you? Mother's really are the best.
...and with regards with the food, I agree with you. Mom's cook best.
That's the one reason I love going home at their house because I get to taste the most delicious food. But my father is jealous. As he wants him to be the best cook in our house. So, at times, I'll just say, they're both the best!

Hey there,
Glad to hear you had a great day with your mother. It is a bit after 10am here and no plans today. Usually it was always dinner with the kids but it did not work out for us all today.
I do not have a mother to celebrate with so I will be celebrating with moms here on myLot today!

Mother's Day is a special day for all moms. I wish that my Mom is still around. It has been almost 4 years now since she's gone and I still miss and think of her every single day.
I am also a Mom but my kids are still too young to buy me gifts, so they made gifts for me from their Sunday school.
My 2 sisters and I will plan an outing together to celebrate Mother's Day as all 3 of us are mothers, maybe a lunch or dinner and hanging out together to catch up on things. This is what we usually would do every year.

Gifts made from their Sunday school? Aw, that's so sweet. Hmmm. It would still be a long way for me to become a mother. Anyways, sorry to hear you don't have your mother with you now. But even though she's gone, I think she's with you when you celebrated mother's day with your sisters because she's always within your hearts. Mother's love are really rare. We can't find it to anyone else.

My mom unfortunately lives far away. Many states apart I should say. So taking her out isn't a possibility for me. What I did was I sent her an e-card. I also called her to wish her a Happy Mother's Day.... and I bought her something that she had been wanting for a while... I bought her season 1 and 2 of True Blood and had them delivered to her house. She absolutely loved it!

Wow, you're a very thoughtful daughter/son. (I actually don't know whether you're a man or lady )
You gave your mom lots of gifts!
We should make everyday a mother's day because we never know when our mothers will leave us. Like most of the lotters are sad because thy're missing their mothers so much.

Happy Mother's Day to your Mom too. I lost my Mom just last December,2010 and it really broke me. I truly miss her. We visited her and offered a mass last May 6 coz it was also her birthday. Her 68th, could have been. I would have love to treat her out if she is only still alive.

Sorry to hear that your mother was already gone. Well, anyway, she's still there always beside you, you just didn't know. She's always there to protect you and your family. It may have been so sad though that you truly miss her a lot. It's part of it so I hope you can move on and just keep your mom's memory in your heart.
Welcome to mylot charm!

Hi. adnileb. My mother-in-law has been deceased for twenty five years as of now. I miss her very much. So much. I stayed home for Mother's Day, because I was sad and depressed over not having her in my life. I did cook a meal for my family though. I did not went out at all. My youngest sister said that she would come by and pick me up so that we can put a flower on our Mother's grave on Sunday. But she changed her mind. She did not come at all. I know that my other family probably was looking for me to come by, but I did not have any plans to go over to my aunt's or my grandmother's house. I wanted to spend that day at my home, to mourn over not having my mom here with me on Mother's Day. I am glad that you have enjoyed your Mother's Day with your mother though.

Sorry to hear that too. I've been reading several comments here that they already lost their mothers and that was so sad.
I agree with you to make everyday a special day for mothers. Well, if only I can be with my mom everyday. I'm a bit far from her because of my work. But I still make her feel special everyday by remembering her through text messaging.

Your english wasn't that bad at all.
Giving a rose to your ma is so sweet. I was planning that too because lots of flower vendors are on the street but we're holding up plastics of groceries so I wasn't able to do it anymore.
Good thing your mom brought a good son into this world. Keep it up.
