What's your basis in adding a friend and approving a friend request in myLot?

I only had few people from my friend's list. I approve a friend request and add a friend if a certain person shares the same interest with me. In that way, when that person starts a new discussion under our common interest, it won't be difficult for me to respond. Another thing, apart from having the same interest, I also consider those members who responds back to those members who posted in their discussion or to somebody else's discussion. I find a discussion interesting if myLot members actively participates in a certain discussion. How about you? What are your basis in adding a friend and approving a friend request in myLot?

I add friends as the requests come in. Unless they have very low numbers or I don't know of them or have seen their responses. If I have added someone and I get a spam PM from them they are gone. I do not put up with any spam requests on my profile. It is a waste of time for them and me.

I hope so as well. If I'll be getting a spammer, I'll just unfriend them LOL. Don't worry, I decided to remain active in myLot. I really enjoy this site :)

Good thing that I haven't received spam messages from my myLot friends. I only have 85 friends from friend's list as of now. I used to only have one friend for four years in myLot. I was a dormant member for four long years and since I became active last March, I started receiving friend requests from different members. I appreciate those friend requests I received and I accepted all of them.

I hope none of them scam you and that you remain active in Mylot. I don't except all I get. Just whatever I feel I want.

I came across this discussion because you added me as a friend, lol. I have not yet added any friends, only accepted (with the exception of the mylotters I have referred). I also have had only a few friend requests, but I have always gone to their profile and saw that they added me because I responded to a discussion or they responded to mine. I will continue to apporve friend requests in the future for this reason alone, because it shows me two things. One, they have similar interests. Two, they thought what I had to say was worth their time to read, and that's a good feeling. I think that we, as people, have evolved to a point where opinions don't matter so much as they once did -- everyone's got one. The people that take the time to ingest someone else's opinion are good people in my book.

Yeah I remember added you as a friend. Thanks for the add LOL. I actually notice that you only have few friends from your list and I'm thinking that maybe you're not proactively sending friend requests. Though you don't have much friends in your account, I'm glad seeing you very active in participating to different discussions :) That is a proof that you don't have to have many friends if you want to earn in myLot. Thanks for the response.

I just check your account again and found out that you just joined myLot a week ago. Welcome to myLot! Though you're a newbie, you're one my active participants from the discussions I've started in myLot. Thanks for that.

No, I have not yet sent any friend requests. Mostly because I'm just trying to get my feet wet first and learn the layout, become more familliar with the where's and why's and whatnot's. I am very active in discussions, and hopefully will be even more in the future, when I've got a little more time, like this summer. And in the future, I will probably add people, but right now, I'm just posting my opinion and seeing how that goes. :)

I actually dont have any basis in adding a friend, whenever I have requests I always approve them. And for me, it's nice if you have lots of friends so you can answer and read a lot of discussions.

You have your point; more friends, more discussions you can reply to and more people who will respond to your own discussions, thus more money from myLot hehehe :D

It is always healthy to keep friends in each site. We will get support from them when it is necessary. If we have doubt about anything, we can ask to them. We also can send personal messages to them. It is possible to send our referral links to them as a personal message. There is chance to get more referrals for us. so don't misuse this opportunity. Try to make maximum friends as possible.

Yeah you're right. It's good to have lots of friends in myLot as long as they are they are active LOL. Say, 70 out of your 100 friends are not active, how can you interact with these 70 people if they are not using myLot? I'd rather have 50 active users than 100 inactive friends. I also agree with you that having lots of friends gives us high probablity to have a referral from our other online jobs. I posted my referral links and banners in my profile for my friends to check and try. Thanks for your response, I appreciate it.

Well it is nice to have a basis in making friends. That is the one step to earn more here also.. If both of you share the common interest, you can really have good time in making some conversation with them. I my case I accept all who want to be friends with me, as long as he has many post( active) and not a bot of others that will bother you in sending some referral links to you without asking them. I also like a friend that always response to my discussions and I really appreciate that things and as a return I give them some rewards..^__^ Many of here are not my friends at all but they really response in some of my discussions, sometimes I forgot to say thank you to them and to add as friends. I really admire those people who appreciate small things in life..

Oh I see. Yes you're correct, giving positive rates and marking their comments as the best response is a great way of showing we appreciate their participation. I am also generous in giving rates especially to those who responds to my discussions. Thanks for responding :)

Yeah you're right. If you share the same interest with a certain person, it won't be difficult for you to connect and share with his/her discussions. I also like those members who are actively participating in a certain discussion. By the way, you mentioned about rewards; how do you give rewards to you friends?

Rate your friends comments positive, that is the best reward you can give to your friends.. Also if you really like his/her comments you ca mark it as the best responds, in that way you helped your friends to gain more earnings. Maybe that will be accumulated in his/her participations earning. Your friend will be thankful for that.

Hi there. For me I add everybody that send me friend request. For me the more friends that I have the more people that I get to know by just reading their different post. I enjoy reading it from different kinds of people especially we are all from different countries. There is also a lot of learning if you have heard a lot from many friends as well.

Thanks for the response. Honestly I find it difficult to deny a friend request; that is why until now, I haven't rejected anyone yet hehe. However, when I send friend request, most of the time I filter it. If a person is actively participating in a discussion and knows how to respond in a discussion, I send a friend request. I still give chance to those who are not that active by approving their friend request, maybe they just need encouragements from active members to become active as well.

I don't add people, people add me. No really, I'm serious, because I think that most of the people who I might have added, might have already added me to their list of friends. Or I am in the process of approving them, sometimes, maybe, one of these days, I swear, I'll take care of those outgoing friend requests one of these days. I tend to take the same approach with myLot as I do with real life. If someone wants anything to do with me, then fine, add me and I'll approve you, if you meet my qualifications for approval that is. Now if you know what it is going to take for me to approval friend requests, other than the fact I need to get off of my lazy can and actually do so, that is a bit of a tricky situation. The fact is that you really do have to be here for some time and be proven to be an active member of the community. No offense to people with very few posts or none, but these people do seem like they just signed up to request a bunch of friend requests and then spam me. So yeah, you better be a legit member. When I get around to approving friends again. Eventually, one of these days.

Thanks for the response. It's easier for me to approve a friend request than to add. Though I have basis in adding a friend in myLot, I do appreciate those people who send their friend requests that is why I haven't declined anyone yet :). I only have 84 friends from friend's list and most of them are active participants in myLot. Whenever I send a friend request, I make sure that they are active in myLot. I still give chance to those who are not "that" active because I was once become a dormant member in myLot and I'm thinking that maybe later on, they will start enjoying myLot and become active like us.

I don't have any particular basis on adding a friend or approving a request. I believe the more the merrier. I also believe that mylotters might have different and opposite interest today but maybe in the future, we might have something still in common. Like today, who would have thought that I will be routed on this discussion. Anyway, feel free to add me on your list, I want to have a lot of friends in mylot.

Hey there no need to check but you and I have been on myLot list for a while, lol I am one who does not know how to say no, and as of late I have well over 700 listed friends. Of which many are inactive so one day I have to take time out and sort the list because while looking for a friend on my list can be a nightmare. I do not think that 100 of them are actually routinely active of my list. So as of late I have been leaving some on pending but not to be cruel but if we have not interacted then I do not see what the intent is to be friends. I do not start many discussions and I do answer a lot of other members discussions who are not on my list. So when I get requests from member who nave never interacted I can't help but wonder the intent because collecting friends, there is really no benefit if we are not going to further interact. There are many who start discussions then do not comment back and I am not liking that because although I am of course earning for answering their discussions and do provide a lot of helpful information to do to earn and never hear back, then I wonder if I am wasting efforts. I say this because I am not a one-liner responder and so I wonder if they even read the response at all. So for a few weeks I have left some pending and have noticed absolutely no interaction anywhere so not sure what to do with some of them because I really do not need to add if they are not going to be active. Have fun and see you at your next discussion.

Yeah I noticed that as well. You are one of the most active myLot members from my friend's list. I also notice that there are discussions where both of us responded :) I would really prefer adding a friend whose actively participating in a discussion. I also feel what you feel when someone doesn't reply in my comment-- I'm wondering if they appreciate my post or not. Thanks for responding :D

You have a point. We also need more friends in myLot to earn more. More friends, the higher the probability of members who will participate in your discussion. Most of the time, I filter those people whom I want to add as a friend but I haven't declined a friend request so far.

hello! I usually add a person who starts an interesting discussion. Or who responds to my discussion interesting-ly. I almost never deny a friend request, but lately I have had to delete some friends because they start too many discussions but they don't reply back to the people who posted in their discussion. :)

Hi! I'm also considering deleting those who are not responding back to those comments posted by other members. A discussion is more interesting if the person who created the discussion actively participates. I haven't deny anyone yet when someone adds me as a friend because most of them shares the same interests with me.

I am not a English speaker, I just wanna study English. A friend may be very helpful for me, but I am a freshman here, and I have not added any person yet.

I admire your honesty. Not all members are native English speaker and I am one of them. MyLot is a good training ground for us to enhance our English communication skills. Reading discussions from other myLot members will help us widen our vocabulary and improve our grammar. I encourage you to keep on participating and start your own discussion as well. The more you participate, the more you'll get use to speaking/writing in English. If you'll be creating your own discussion, I encourage you as well to respond to those people who participated; you'll only not earn, you'll also gain participants from your future discussions. Most of myLot members would want to participate in a discussion if you kbow how to respond to their comments. The more people who joined your topic, the more chances you get to practice your English, thus more earnings. Happy myLotting!

hello, For me tha basis of adding friends here in myLot is if we have the same country by that we can help one another and we can share what are those trusted site that we can earn and maybe thats it I dont have a lot of basis for it but the number one and only one that.Actully, I love adding friends spcially if we have different interest because it is more interesting to me to answer their topics.

Yeah I also agree. There are also available topics started that only people residing at the same country can relate. Happy mylotting!

I approve people who add me. And that's about it! I assume they see me through discussions that are on a topic they're interested in, so that's probably why they added me :) Then if I get spam about earning money at x site I delete. Grr can't stand that.
