We were so crazy about myspace and friendster before, but now these sites are almost gone. This gives me the idea that Facebook might just not be a "forever" thing, because it's essentially just like the previous two social networks - we enjoy it now, but we get tired of it later.
When do you think will people get tired of Facebook?

I think people will get tired of Facebook when a new social network that is better than Facebook is invented. Some thing happened with Myspace and Friendster; when those social networks came out for the first time, everyone thought that they were the best social network and hence joined them. Then Facebook came to life and then people started flocking there. So I guess it's only a matter of time when a new and better social network springs up and everyone starts flocking there......

yes i agree with you gerald. If facebook does not have new innovations and perks and a better social networking site that comes along with new things to offer, I think everybody will get tired and move on from facebook. However, right now, facebook is the best site for socialization. so I guess, it can stay for a longer time.

People will get tired of Facebook when there will be new site just like Facebook who have certain features that people would love.I am also getting tired of Facebook but it was the only site for me now that I can contact to my friends and relatives.I had already stop to play games there because I had realize that it is just a waste of time. But it will take so long that people will get tired of facebook.Maybe a hundred years i think.LOLL.

Hi, vesuvius. I think that people will get tired of Facebook when their accounts start to get hacked into. I also think they will get tired when they start having personal problems in their life that is a result of being on Facebook all day long too. I feel that they will get tired when they can't get things done at their homes like they should. They also will get tired when their school grades and relationships start to take a turn for the worse. I have already gotten tired of Facebook. I hardly log onto this site like I used to. I am serious. I now check my email notifications to see what has changed so far at this site. When I see nothing that interests me, I don't bother with being on this site anymore at all. It can get really boring for me. It just does.

I'd say I'm not tired of Facebook yet but I haven't been using FB like the way I used to when I first registered. I loved the games but got real tired of them eventually. Unless there are new innovations, Facebook might Fadeaway like the others. The thing that made FB a fad was when it beat the other social networks to the punch with its features. Now, it's time for them to create something new to keep it alive or improve it.

Hi there vesuvius!!!
I guess I'll get tired of facebook when I decided to get serious with my life and just focus on working.Maybe I wouldn't have the time to visit my facebook account anymore if I already find a job.
Well I am really planning to be serious now in my life and find a decent job but the problem is it is not that easy.I have to wait for the perfect time when I am ready to leave all the things that are unnecessary in my life that is preventing me from doing the things that must be done.

I am not sure. If this one goes then I am sure another will come along. Its just the way of things these days. We all have such a desire to network with others that its almost a necessity. Its something that makes us happy and fills a need to communicate. I get tired of FB I wont go on for a few days and then I happily get back on and check in my friends. Thats the fun of it to me.

Hi there, I had my facebook deactivated for a year because of my studies. Facebook took all of my time, so i thought it'd be a good idea to quit for a while and be back whenever i find myself in a comfortable position. Recently, i activated my facebook and i am so excited to be back. There is a different happiness to re-connect with friends and chat with them on Facebook!
I am not so sure about other people but for me, the Facebook excitement has just begun, i am not sure if it'll ever end!

I usually log in FB once a week only. This is just to stay connected with my relatives and friends within the country or abroad. I have never tried yet playing FB game, as some of my friends are doing, no matter how tempting this could get as I know too that it is addicting. Well, FB I think as a social network , will stay long if it keeps on innovating since people love to communicate with kins and friends. If there is a social network that would come in surpassing the features of FB, then, perhaps, it may join the bandwagon of Friendster and Myspace.

For me, I think people will get tired of facebook if there's a new and another popular site that will be made years from now...I've known some friends that already lost interest in facebook and there is never such a thing in this world that people won't ever get tired of...so eventually what happened to myspace and friendster may happen also to facebook in the near future...who knows...and besides nothing last forever you know...

I know I've tried to pull people over to other sites for this reason or that, but they understand facebook and can navigate it easily. It is organized once people understand the news feed "home" versus their "wall" which is their profile basically. The apps do it all for them and are interesting. Most of the other sites use FB's like buttons and feeds anyways so it isn't a total separate experience. One sure can't blame someone for not leaving FB to begin with. They will move on when there is something as easy with as many people on it as FB. Unless FB goes in a total different direction, I don't see anyone leaving any time soon. I know a lot of people who don't even know how to search nor know what a browser is but they sure understand FB lol They do nothing outside of it, even use it for email.

I am already tired of it. I do open my account daily, because most of the information that I need for school are being disseminated there, so it's a must for me, but I don't always update my profile. I just check on the notifications and then go to myLot or Twitter afterwards.
