it seem to me that most of the kids shows out there now seem to have more adult humor to them. i don't think that it right to expose our children to it, but there's not much that you can do. there are a lot of cartoons that my child isn't allowed to watch because of the adult humor that they use. my friends say that its ok, because they don't know what it means, but that's not the point. your exposing kids to these thing and they don't think that they'll find a way to figure it out. are there any kids show that you don't allow you child to watch?

I think there are still shows that are aimed at entertaining children. Sponge Bob and others on Disney and Nickelodeon are still aimed at kids and are entertaining enough for adults.

The issue is that we realize this with age. I thought the same thing and worry for the sake of my nieces and nephews but while obtaining netflix I started watching many of the cartoons I watched as a kid, Rockos modern life, rugrats, etc. The honest truth is that many of those shows had the same things to them I didn't realize that then but do now. I would agree to a extent though that it is coming more blatant and obvious than those cartoons but it is all the same. The only ones I agree are not good for kids and should be on adult swim is Adventure time, and Robotica or whatever called, the next thing to me is not so much the issue of cartoons it is the live action shows. Again we had them as kids like Kennan and Kel, All that and so on, but there were not as much and didn't emphasize the meaning of teenage mentality.

What are some of the shows you are talking about? Just because something is a cartoon, does not mean that it is for children at all. Family Guy, Robot Chicken, South Park, Archer, etc. These shows are aimed toward teens and young adults. So are you talking about these types of shows, or which?
