Have you ever taken a break from sewing or do you sew all the time

Well, I have not sewed anything in over two or three years. Last week, I went to Target and ventured over to the hair accessories area. I saw headbands for $7.99 really simple stuff. I thought I can make some of those myself. So, I just finish cutting out some fabric and will sew them up tomorrow. I am even thinking about other sewing projects. I enjoy sewing, but it is not something I am passionate about so I do it now and again. How about you?

I don't sew often at home. But 4 days a week I work doing alterations, so I do sew often. Maybe because my work is sewing I don't think of it as fun to sew anymore. At home I like to knit when I have the time.

If I did it as a job regularly, it probably would not be fun either.

Unfortunately I never took an interest in sewing. My mother could sew anything but I couldn't sit still long enough to really learn her secrets. I do enjoy working with plastic canvas and yarn making all kinds of cute projects that I either sell or give as gifts. Most people love a handcraft gift. Are you planning to sell the headbands?

Sorry to stay so long to respond, stuff came up at home. Anyway, I am hoping to sell them in my booth. I could not figure out how to set up the sewing machine since it's been such a long time since I use it. So, I am busy reading the manual and figuring out.

The same with me. I like to sew but I think I coiuld find other things to do first. But you are right the simple things seem to be high now days. I think I mmight get back into sewing myself.

Yea, I guess the simple things cost so much because there are so many people who do not have the skills to do somethings for themselves, or choose not to.
