It was a good movie... watched it 12 years after it was released.. It had a good story, I can't stop crying whenever they had to execute another prisoner with the electric chair..It had a god message too- I really pity John (spoiler..) who had to pay for something he did not do, but at least he is with God now and didn't have to feel all that suffering. What do you think about this movie..

Its an excellent movie, another masterpiece by Frank Darabont after The Shawshank Redemption .It has a very emotional story indeed.Best thing about this movie is, normally we try to judge people by their beauty and appearance ,here there is a man who looks like a dangerous killer and he is child of god with pure heart. So its a very good message by the director and writer. Also the police officials in jail are known to be quite emotionless and merciless but in this movie they have shown emotional side of them beautifully. The ending of this movie is really very sad and it reminds me of the story of Christ when he was crucified even if he was innocent.

There were many things in the film to make him a Christ like figure. I think it was intentional. If I picked it up, it had to be really blatant. I'm not a Xian and I caught it.

I remember i watched this movie once and that was a long time ago.i can't recall the whole story but i remember one character-a big, bald, black man. If i remember it right then i would agree that it's a good movie. I think it's one of my friend's favorite.
