It is getting hotter every day

India

Today noon I was returning from the university, I felt I was almost fried, I felt so tired, might be due to diabetes. After reaching home, I checked, the temperature was 43 degrees Celsius. In my room I always set the air conditioners at the lowest setting of 18, the setting is from 18 Celsius to 24, but the temp in room remains around 28 always. I can’t imagine what is going to happen; it is the beginning of summer here. It is the effect of cutting down the trees in our city in the name of widening or roads and beautification of city. They have made parks in the city, but the trees are of concrete and the grass is synthetic, needs no watering. What weather you have now? During summer what is the maximum temperature? In winter minimum temperature here is 10-15 Celsius only, no snow etc., I have not seen snow in real yet. During winter what is minimum temperature at your place? Please respond and share your valued opinion, Thanks in advance. Professor ‘*Bhuwan*’. . Cheers have a lucky day ahead.

The heat in my place is intensified due to humidity, so it's not only hot, but we also sweat profusely. It is added by eating mangoes too. hee

Hi professor,Surprisingly Mangalore has been tolerable this year. Normally by this time the temperatures go up to 36 -37 degrees during the day and the nights are very sultry. But this year , so far the maximum temp has gone up to about 33 degrees and nights are quite pleasant, no need for an AC . It may be because we are surrounded by trees because I have heard others complaining that it is very hot even at night and they cannot sleep without Air conditioners. In Mangalore during winter months the temp goes down to about 16 degrees and the maximum temp then would be around 28 or 29 degrees. So there is not much difference, the weather remains more or less steady. The monsoon season is the best here when it rains rather pours all through the day and night and it is really cool...

Well we are a little bit fortunate (but not all of my countrymen) That there is a little bit of a raining weather this past few days. We somehow averted extreme heat in a way. But before that, we have experienced record highs which is a little bit worrying because summer is just beginning.

Agree~ It is getting hot and I am sweating even if I am at home. We don't have 4 seasons here in Malaysia. when I hung the wet clothes in the house though, it will be dry in a very short time....

Yes it is. Weather's getting hotter everyday. Global warming is probably the reason why we are experiencing very hot or very cold weather. here in the philippines, it's summer but we are already experiencing rainstorms. metro manila was flooded due to typhoon "bebeng" (i don't know its international name) yesterday. people were stranded because there were only few PUVs on the road... typhoon bebeng is expected to leave the Philippine territory on wednesday. however, a new typhoon is expected to enter on the same day too.

Hi professor! I just called my mother in law in India, she too was complaining that it's cooking hot out there. She told me that she has stopped going out of the house for shopping. She orders things online so that she don't need to go out in the scorching sun. Here in Melbourne, it's the start of winter. The weather is getting chillier each day. I prefer winter to summer, so i have no complaints! Tomorrows weather is a minimum of 8 celsius which is not bad! I hope you will be able to protect your skin during this summer and try to stay within the house or be able to escape from the sun somehow! (Oops! I just sent you a sun, but yes! it has it's glares on)..
