Which really has the edge?I mean friendster is already phased out but I'm sure there'll always be a loyal friendster fan among of you here. What do you foresee about Facebook? does it have the same fate as friendster in the near future?

Well I think in the future it will still be facebook unless they are really slow at updating life friendster.
When the "social sites" was still new, friendster is no.1 myspace no.2 and facebook is not that even heard off. This was the ranking for a at least 2-3 years but friendster is extremely slow in updating that it got surpassed unfortunately.
For me the one who is fast in updating features would be the winner.

There's a lot of features in Facabook that Friendster does not have when it came out. Like the 'status messages'.. Friendster only allows you to place a quote or description on your profile but people on your friends list will not receive updates on what it is., that's how I remember it. But I do know that they already have this option today, copied from facebook.
I don't think (maybe im wrong) Facebook will have the same fate as Friendster. I thing Mark Z always have meetings with the company's creative group to provide insights of things that will help people from getting bored using the site.
