I didn't ever think the lakers would go out this way losing 4 straight. I thought they would at least win 2 games. Just like this series, other series are turning out to be the opposite to what I assume the playoffs would go. Hawks/Magic, I thought the Magic were going to win. Grizzles/Spurs, I thought the spurs were going to win since they did have the best record in the NBA. Lastly, I watched game 4 of the Mavericks/Lakers series and it looked like the laker's were hardly trying at all. Can you say rigged? Just Kidding

That was a season full of surprise. Dalls sweep the Los Angeles and win the final.
Norwitzki proved that he can rank top five in the league. I can't agree with it was rigged. Dalls deserve the win. They play more aggressive, with so many talented plays make up the lineup and also have good luck.

I have definitely had my share of being shocked from the playoffs this year. The Dallas and Los Angeles series and the Memphis/San Antonio series were the only real surprises to me though. I thought that the Hawks would beat the Magic because Orlando really only has Dwight Howard and you could obviously tell that because he almost scored 50 in game 1 and his team still got dominated. After game 1 of the Hawks and Bulls series I thought Atlanta might have a chance to beat the Bulls but they started playing some crap offense the rest of the series.
The Dallas sweep of the Lakers made me really happy because I'm a long time fan of Dirk Nowitzki and the Dallas Mavericks. I definitely thought that they had a chance of beating the Lakers but I didn't think they would sweep them or completely embarrass them by like 36 points in the final game to fully sweep the Lakers. A lot of LA's true colors came out during that series as well and I'm almost positive there will be at least a couple of big changes and trades going on with their line-up in the post-season.
The Grizzlies upset of the Spurs is another series I was happy to watch and happy to see the upset. San Antonio is just another one of those teams that I grew up watching and started to dislike because they would always win and beat my more favorite teams like the Suns of a couple years ago when they had Amare. It was definitely a surprising victory because the Grizzlies are truly not a very good offensive team but they have some incredible defense definitely. I think that if they can get a scorer or some more supporting players in the off season I think they will be in much better shape for the playoffs next year.

I am not a Los Angeles Lakers fan and I am extremely happy the Dallas Mavericks beat the Lakers in 4 straight games! The Lakers act like they are the perfect team! Kobe Bryant is a seflish b*sterd and is a big baby when they lose! This is why I have becomne a Mavericks fan! It is the Mavericks time now! Go Mavs!

I am surprised that the Lakers got swept although I am not surprised they lost the series. The Lakers were already showing signs during the regular season that they were not bound for the NBA Finals. They were inconsistent appearing relaxed or disinterested with playing team basketball. Kobe is not also the same Kobe as before. But it did not help also that Dallas is a stronger team this year. They have balance of defense and offense. The Mavs have a real chance of becoming championship contenders.
I don't think the outcome of this playoffs is rigged. If one were to manipulate the results, the favorable result will be for the Lakers to fight either Miami or the Celtics for better ratings. So I do not believe the results are scripted. But I know you were just kidding when you said that.:-)

The Lakers are an Older Team and in need of an over Haul. They can't Win forever as it is a Mental Game much more than a Physical Game. Things Happen in the Whacky World of Sports including Sweeps. The First in 21 years in the NBA for Phil Jackson
as a Player or Coach.

I don't know if you saw this but in their last game, the Mavs played locked down defense. Not even Kobe could get by them. I was pretty impressed with the kind of play the Mavericks showed us two night ago. I was really betting on the Lakers and the Heat to play the Finals.

LOL. You just never know, especially these days, if a game was rigged or not. I didn't get to watch it. sorry they lost.

The Lakers are definitely a championship caliber team, everybody knows that. They happened to hit a rough patch in their season and unfortunately it was during the worst time. Kobe is getting too old to completely take over a game. I think the Heat are going to win it all.

I feel they sort off had it coming... since the players stop believing in the triangle offense, they've become so predictable and sad to say so tired for playing a lot of games since 2008 (3 straight finals will take its toll) plus factoring the olympics and world championships. I think they should start rebuilding now.
