Hello. Does anyone have any suggestions for dealing with the "terrible two's"? My son is wonderful. But even so, sometimes, his little attitudes just make me crazy. I need more patience. Any advice?

I have 6 children and all of them went through the terrible twos stage and only 5 of them came out of it, as the 6th child has adhd and that is a lot,lot worse.I feel that the best way to deal with it is, not to give in just to get a peaceful life, as that way they know where they stand with you.If you feel really stressed then i would suggest to take time out and find someone to sit with the child.Find as many different things as you can to give to the child, as after all terrible twos is due to frustration, due to them not be able todo things on their own.Good luck.

Oh. I see. That makes sense. I did not realize that frustration triggered it in a way. That seems very true. Either he wants to do something on his own and can't, OR he is trying to do something on his own that could cause harm or be dangerous. That's most of the time he throws his fits. Thanks for your advice. Six children? Wow, you are a PRO!!! So don't give in? That is one of the tough parts for me. It is so much easier to give in, but I know in the long run it will only hinder our efforts. Thanks for your response! :-)
