Hi guys
Can you help me out here, please? I received this email from Paypal today.
"Hello Lee,
We are letting you know we recently sent you a duplicate payment by mistake.
You and the sender did everything right–this was our error. We fixed the problem that caused this to happen, but we want to correct the mistake, so we need to reclaim the duplicate payment we sent. On May 13, 2011 we’ll debit your PayPal balance accordingly.
We apologize for any inconvenience this causes. Our goal is to provide a reliable, satisfying online payment experience. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us.
Sincerely,
PayPal"
I'm not sure what this means. Could this have anything to do with my previous refund to a PTC site? Will Paypal charge us for sending a refund?
The thing is that the sender is from paypal@paypal.com and not the usual service@intl.paypal.com.
Please help. I really need your advice on this. Thank you!

I read all the posts here, so it was the same conclusion I had reached when reading. It is a scam. There are so many scams going on. Be careful! Never open an attachment on any of these emails.

Maybe they were hoping to dupe people into responding and then they would scam them in some way? Better to totally ignore them!

It's good Paypal responded fairly quickly. My first instinct was that it was a scam.

If you have refunded the money there is no reason paypal send you this email. I suggest you to write to paypal. I was once write to paypal about my pin number and paypal clarified that they only uses this email address.
service@intl.paypal.com
Which means you are probably being scammed.
