playstation down?

Yes the PSN has been hacked by a group named Anonymous. They have stolen some credit card information from gamer users. It's been down for 3 weeks already. Hopefully it'll be back up by the end of the month, but all we can do is wait. Just play games that have single player mode until it comes back on.

Yes it was hacked. There are two theories running around and I am not sure which is the right one. One says that they figured out how to have the network recognized these hackers as PS3 managers so that they could basically access and download anything they wanted. The other one I heard on the radio and someone said they hacked him and used his credit card info to get a bunch of stuff. It is still down, because they probably have to redo all of their security. You can still access Netflix instant streaming and download updates for games. You just cannot play online. Don't throw away your system or anything because of impatience haha, it will be back up eventully.
