This song is relatively poetic aside from its title.. The vocalist has coolest voice I've had failed attempts imitating his voice haha! It takes hard work to create this kind of lyric and the tune matches everything to the specifics of this song. I hope they compose more music like this:) Godbless to Green Day!

I forgot to tell, Hollywood as in deed called boulevard of broken dreams so many times due to people who gets there and dreams for a career but goes home empty handed.

I only watch antm because I love to see women fighting and because of the bikini photoshoots.
But I usually love any reality tv where people gets voted off 1 by one. I dunno I just love seeing people getting eliminated.
back to this song, yeah the song is about those who failed to have a career in LA. If you ate in a restaurant in LA. The waiter, waitress or even the Janitor are all aspiring actors trying to audition.

I so love this band. For me this song represents a dark period in my life, there have been many times when people don't really understands me, not to mention I feel alone and everything seems to be broken and dreams are far from achieving, I guess we all go through a period when nothing goes right for us and we stand and walk alone. Love the song, always have.

I think it has something to do with hollywood, I mean many people from around the world go to Los Angeles (its were Hollywood is) they go to Los Angeles to pursue stardom, and only few of them gets success, a lot of people goes to Hollywood ends up as extras, waiters, waitresses, bartenders and all blue color jobs and yet they didnt get the hollywood career they wanted. some of then end up desperate they end up in adult film industry,

i really like this song.. the lyrics is somewhat nice. Almost all of the songs has a nice lyrics. The vocalist has a cool voice. Keep it up Green Day.

One of the few albums I listen to from the first song to the last was Green Day's American Idiot. His voice is definitely something. And this album has shown a depth and maturity compared to their previous releases. Since you loved this song, I recommend the whole album. It is sort of tied together into one neat little package. I bet you'll love their other songs in there too.
