Many of us know that Language is the thing that makes the expression of everything . Even a person without Voice can express his thoughts by using sign language . But according to the characteristics of Language it is limited to expressions of feelings. Whatever may be the language it cant express the feeling of a person clearly . If you got into full sorrow you will not note that language is limited but if you got into full joy , you will note that language is limited so that you cant express your joy to others in words.

there are many cases why you can't express everything by just merely talking. there are factors/reasons why:
1. you can't understand each other, you have different language, so theirs a barrier for you two to communicate
2. Even if you express what your feeling the recipient don't want to accept what you said. Simply as asking for forgiveness. right? you said sorry already but the recipient does not want to accept it because they are still mad at you.
3. you're just misunderstood

I am unable to accept you. language is not limited. there are poets and authors in every language, who can beautifully express the whole feelings. the main things, sometimes, we normal people have only limited language skills. language is like is an ocean. we individual people can only a limited language. I am always proud of my mother language TAMIL, which has so many words to be used to epress our feeling. but I am not so good in my language.

Dear friend,
I could see that those people who are deaf and dumb show their expressions through guestures. Moreover there was a time duirng the thos early periods even when languages where not found. You see how animals communcate with humans how they get tamed. I feel languages do have limited role in expressing everything. When one talk though phone could tell happy or humorous words even if he is crying silently on other side.

I do think that you can use language to express a lot of things, but I don't think that language can express everything. There are just somethings that you can't really express with words. Sometimes, there may not be words to really express what you feel, or what you want to say, or something to that effect. It can be difficult at times to do so.

There will always be feelings and emotions and things that would be difficult to express in words. You may be able to find some related words but then the description would feel incomplete. Our deficiencies in human language, we compensate with body language and the language of the hearts. The language of the heart knows no bounds.

Language I think is a rather sizable part of how we communicate, but really it is not the only part of communication. Facial expressions and body language tend to really play a big part of how we communicate. People can express a lot by a smile, a frown, or a simple roll of their eyes at the absurdity of the situation. There are a lot of the situations where words can only go so far, but they do not tell the whole story.
There are sometimes where people, if you just listened to them, from another room, they might seem on board with something. Well unless their voice slightly shakes, but let's just say for the sake of argument that their voice was clear. You can get a different impression from just hearing a person, as opposed to both seeing and hearing them. Body language and facial expressions, like I said, can tell you a lot about what is really going on the head of a person.

to me body language speaks it all. and expressions of the face. so language does not tell all. theres an old saying here that says "actions speak louder then words" and thats very true.

Well language as we know is the best way to communicate with people. Even the person who aren't able to talk can show signs. But as you said when extreme sorrow or joy comes in life we are unable to express it through language. In such cases only actions determine and the way the person behaves can show everything. Yes but language is the basis of each and everything. Through language things can be settled down if we know how to communicate properly. According to me keeping aside the excitement or great depressions of life. I think language is the riches thing a person has. It is said that the person who knows different languages is the richest man in the world. Yes it is true because he is able to survive in each and every region. So i think Language though limited upto certain extent. It expresses everything that is needed in our daily life.

Language enables us to be understood.
But spoken language, different from your expression is nothing. It should jibe with your expression, like if you are saying that you are so happy , then your expression should also be it. An example also is saying "i love you", yet you have a passive face when you say it, how could the one you are saying it to , believe you?

We can consider emotions also a language which needs no words and can be understandable globally but still we need language to elaborate it further. So I think any language can express your situation far better way instead of just expressions.

I also agree that language can't express anything;it may express all our thoughts, but it can't show the entire diversity of emotions and feelings we have in certain moments.Sometimes they can be noticed in our gestures by people who are skilled at observing them,or they can be even read in our eyes, which are the true mirror of our soul.

Language is such a limited part of communication. If you break down the basics of communication, language (words) are only 10% of the communication. The voice adds another 10% by adding tone, pitch, rhythm and pace. But 80% of communication is in the body language and context inwhich the words are spoken. That is why written communication is so much more difficult than the presented words. Language does not express emotion. Some words indicate emotions and strung together can help a reader understand a feeling but the words have no emotion. Words only express an idea or thought.

YES! Even a love word when you express it in different language. It means a lot to the other partner just bcoz you willing to figure it out to tell him or her how much you love him. Isn't that language express everything??
