Should we stand up and say NO to a no ride list?

NY Senator Chuck Schumer's calls for a "no ride list" on amtrack. This would mimic the sweeping, oppressive and ineffective "no fly list". Do you think this is playing into the terrorists hands? Should we find another way? Would you support stricter background checks for anyone that applies for a visa? This could be a better way to go. If we stop this at the source,by ensuring that the folks that want a visa, have to be carefully screened. What are your thoughts? Do you think Schumer's idea is upholding our freedoms? I would like to hear from you.

I agree that stricter background checks for a visa would be a good idea. We also need to do a better job of tracking people who are in this country with expired visas. We all hear about the illegals who cross the border but most of the people who are here illegally came her legally and have over stayed their visas.

You are so right on the need to make sure that the ones that have over stayed their welcome, be made to renew the visa. I think this could create jobs! If we could hire some folks to check out the lists or applications of who wants a visa, those who have expired and so forth. This would benefit the USA. I think it would be more productive in stomping out the terror than if we just sit back and wait.

I agree that america and its european partners should establish a stricter immigration law to check terrorism. However, I do not agree to the fact that visa should be made much more difficult for person that is seeking for better life in europe and america. Even in europe and america the person that claim to be the national of that country where desendant of immigrant from europe and africa. But today they seeing themselves as the true citizen of that country. This is a big lies, I will say without any apology. Therefore, I would call on the western countries to make immigration easier for the honest worker who is seeking for an opportunity overseas.
