why are some bags so expensive?

I'm a lover of bags..just can't get enough of it. I don't care how expensive it is as long as it's durable at the same time can be used mostly in any occasions. In my point of view, as a bag lover, I don't care about the quantity but the quality of the bag and that it even if time passed by, it still looks good. The brand would always be a factor but make sure that the materials compensate its worth. =))

Somebags like Hermes bags are expensive because of the materials used in it. Also this branded had bags are much aspired for its rarity and grandiose. Its the limited supply, status and high quality of these bags that makes any woman all flushed and excited to have. Its just like expensive cars and shoes that makes someone boost confidence. That is why it is called "designer" bags.

I have not heard of that brand before, But I know that there are some very high priced bags. There are some friends of mine that have bag parties so you can get it at a lower price depending on your sales. I think much of it is the name brand and the material, along with just the little extras that make the style flashy.

Why are some bags so expensive? Because these bags have ceased from just being bags. These bags are status symbols. It is just like owning a Phillip Patek wristwatch or a Pagani Huayra sports car. It declares to the world that you are among the lucky few who have the capability to own these luxurious things. It is hard to understand for us mere mortals. For those billionaires who doesn't know how to spend their money, owning these things becomes a necessity.

A bag should jusgt be a bag but it's not. it is an accessory that makes oour wardrobes complete. we just feel naked without that special bag by our side. The expense of a bag isn't foremost in our thoughts. It is the look we want to have and the way a bag can make us feel about ourselves. Why a bag has to be so expesnive is just economy. The more popular a bag is the more we will be willing to pay for it.

May be God made it, I have a hard time sinking in with this glutton over view One Million can feed an entire starving souls here in the Philippines.

Because you are paying for the brand itself... I would not spend 1,000,000 for a bag alone. I would rather spend the money in putting up my own business, shopping for some reasonably-priced gadgets, appliances, clothes and other stuffs, medicines, will share some with the less-fortunate (particularly cancer patients and women who were abused), donate to church and charity(Virlanie Foundation) then the rest will go directly to my savings account. Mommy D is being a brat these days and she is becoming boastful too... nyay!

Honestly she irritates me. lol I've heard of that..she has become too materialistic...i know i know they can afford it and it is their right to spend all the money they have..but still that is too much and to announce on television?what does she want? to be kidnapped? maybe when she will be she can give that bag for ransom... its still freakin too much. maybe that is bedazzled with gold or diamonds.

Yes, I think some bags are so expensive because people aren't only paying fr the quality, but also the brand name, and the style... because the brand name has been know all over the world, which is why it's s expensive, I don't really care about brand names though, as long as the quality is good.

Those bags are branded bags. They are expensive because they are made by those famous companies known for very expensive bags. They are said to be expensive because they are bags that could last a lifetime and are made of good quality. Actually, some are made of crocodile skin and i guess it's hard to catch and kill a crocodile. Me, i don't go for the brand. I go for the design and durability. A fake bag can never be distinguished from a genuine one , if you know how to carry it with your dress.

i think it is because of the brand.. Hermes is a very expensive brand abroad and the quality of the bag really lasts for a long time.. :)

Nowadays, brand plays a critical role in business, it is even more important than the material used. Sometimes it drives you crazy when you know the price of a purse. Of course, I think it is not durable. However you have to face the fact and you could just choose to not to buy it.

It's really not practical to buy bags at those outrageous prices. But considering that Hermes do produce one of the most quality bags in the market having that kind of price is just for the luxury of fashion. It really depends on the people who have there own preferences.

The cost directly depends upon the quality of material used to build up that bag for example a leather bag is always more costly than a normal one or the one which is made of fur is even more expensive the more the good material used it increases the durability and rugedness of the bag

It's all about the name. Some people will pay a fortune for the name. And no, I don't believe they are THAT durable.

it is because you are paying much more of the brand name than the actual thing you purchased! i agree that those bags are really durable and will last for a long time but of course its not like the value of the land and jewelry that as time passes by the value of it appreciate...well if i have the chance to have a signature bag for free i will also grab the opportunity. but if i am the who will but it?? perhaps never!! my heart cant stand the fact that im wasting lots of bucks just for a purse!! i am not that bag enthusiast so its fine to have just an ukay-ukay bag!! well in fashion, i believe its not the price of the thing you are wearing that matters, its how confident you are and how you project whatever it is that you are wearing right?

I also ask the same question to myself. Maybe because of the materials used? But heck! I don't think it should reach a million bucks.

I do not give much money on bags.Buy your someone but often trying to do alone.For example, from old clothes or old Tchento with little imagination occurs.

I can't understand that and I can't uderstand that so many people are pursuing this kind of life, I mean the luxurious life. In my opinion that the humdrum life is a real life, in your actual life that impossible to have fantastic thing everyday. So, I think happy every instead of pursue the this kind of worldly possessions things which is make somebody tired is the best.

some bags are expensive just because of name that write on it,that don't mean that the bags are good, expensive bags isn't always good bags!sorry on my english!
