Do you think Facebook has helped the worlds population? Why?

Facebook has been the newest internet sensation for quite sometime. Do you think it helped it's users? Did it has done any good to the users? or did Facebook only wasted people time and just made it's founders billionaires?

Simply helped is a big word. It has made some people making contact with old friends or some familu, they didn't knew before. I don't know if it's good, that you can see, what you're friends are doing, but it's smart.
