Just early this morning, my wife gave birth to our 7th son, Remiel Moises [by the way thanks who responded on my son's name on my previous discussion way back}. She was clinically induced to give birth at 6 p.m. Four hours passed and still were no signs of labor. At 1 a.m. in the morning, her OB informed me that there were some complications or rather abnormal situation as the baby's hand [i think it was the left one] was clinging on to his forehead and that it is causing deviation to the normal delivery. if this would go on, the OB informed me that she would undergo a Caesarian section which unfortunately would cost more than the normal delivery [actually around 4x], and that a one hour time frame for the situation to normalize was given and if not, then my wife would be sent to the hospital for CS. i got my rosary and prayed, and actually whispered asking my son to let go of the hand and to come out normally of her mother's womb and to help her mother go through a normal delivery. for an hour, i was praying. at 2:30 a.m., the OB came out of the delivery room and she happily informed me everything's fine and Remiel Moises and my wife are fine.

Congrats by the way... :) Prayers is a very powerful way of communicating with God.. "Prayer is sharpen that any two edged sword"... Prayer really works especially if your intention is good and pure.. Prayer is a way to communicate with God.. We can ask for forgiveness of our sins, ask for guidance in our daily routine and also a way to ask for blessings to come.. God is so great that He always answer our prayers, God never fails to do that, as long as we are sincere with what we pray for.. God always hear our prayers, sometimes we misinterpret when our prayers don't come on the right time and right away.. But the real reason is God know when and how to answer our prayers, He know when is the right time for it, to grant our prayers. Sometimes we doubt that He will not anymore grant our prayers, we sometimes don't follow Him, because we think that He disappointed us.. We sometimes become so greedy in our prayers, we sometimes forgot to thank to Him at the things the give to us, sometimes we just pray for Him just to ask something or when we need His help.. We are just there when we have somethings ask for Him.. But we really missed one thing, to thank to Him.. Prayers is not necessary done in church and chapels.. In our own house or in any other place that we can meditate and can focus on talking with God. The best place is in your room, a room with no one can see what you are doing, it is not necessary to pray that must be seen by many people.. AS long as your intention is good and your sincere, God will hear your prayers.

thank you. i always find time everyday to say my gratitude for the blessings i have, to ask for guidance for choices i have to make, and ask for forgiveness for things i have done wrong. and even if my prayers remain unanswered, i would forever be believing in Him.

We must always remember to be grateful for everything, the positive and the negative, for it all helps us to grow!

if prayers prayed comes from the heart yes, it do work.... but if your prayers is a holy rosary 15 times repetitions, i think it will not work.... its a prearranged form of pray.... and if you compare it in a martial arts: it is like comparing a SHADOW FIGHTING versus a SET PATTERN KATA

at least, you have a strong faith to God, not unlike others, they pray the holy rosary in a repetition like a country's national anthem.....

I super agree with you. If your prayers are not answered, then maybe it's not that good for you yet. Just pray and pray and things will get better sooner or later. Congrats to the proud dad! :)

I do believe in the effectiveness of prayer since it is our direct way to talk with God. Many times in my life, I have my prayers answered, many of them not in the way I envisioned them to be but I have learn that whatever situation I am in, God works everything for my own good. I may not see it at first as some sort of a blessing to help me grow as a person but in the long run when I look back I can see that God's ways are much better than mine. For those prayers that have been answered I feel in awe that God has grant me my heart's desire. Prayers are not just about asking for God to intervene on our behalf. They can be a way for us to say our gratitude to Him, ask his forgiveness, glorify Him, pray for others needs.

there is a more grandeur plan ahead of us as God has his ways of tapping our backs when we seem to be nowhere to go, of letting us know that we are His children and His guidance would give us the right choices in our life. Prayers have been my only direct, open and sincere way of knowing Him and keeping my faith strong.

Prayers do really work and I'm glad you did that and remembered God to help you on difficult times. I remembered when i was in college and in our university we had to do the pre-registration to make easier to get a schedule for the registration day. But I failed to have a pre-reg so i was the least priority in choosing the schedule of my classes. I thought i could never enroll and get my classes, so I sat down on the pavement and sang a religious song offering everything to God. And He answered my prayer as I was able to register and i did that in a matter of minutes only. Thank God.

at any time, especially the minute i open my eyes in the morning and before i close my eyes to sleep at night, it has been a habit to say my prayers. at that moment of desperation, i had no one to turn to but only faith.

The future is indeed full of uncertainties. There are different kinds of illnesses that may suffer. Indeed, problems and worries in life come in various forms. As we live in this world, we encounter trials. In view of this, we should prayerful. We should establish family prayers in every household to prove our faith and trust in God. Whatever the case may be, we can take refuge in the Lord, especially in times of troubles and difficulties. By faithfully praying to God, we can find comfort in Him. And because you faithfully pray to Him, God answered your prayer immediately and consider that miracle to the lives of your wife and your baby. Congratulations!

A big amen to that! Prayers do work. I know it is hard to believe but trust me. I think I am not what I am today if I didn't pray FAITHFULLY. Prayers have changed me and my life, most importantly it changed the people around me. I know God listens to each and everyones request. Don't just think he always answers with a yes, sometime he answers your prayers with "wait" or with " I have a better plan for you".

It is incredible to life what the power of prayer can achieve. When prayer is conceived by more than one thought, it can become even stronger. No prayer is too big or small to be of value to so many.

Congratulations to you and your family. Yes prayers really works. We just have to have faith and hope. I believe that prayers are more powerful if you have a good intention, your praying not for your own gain and believing that there is someone who listens and will answer our prayers.

You and your family are bless! I also believe that all things work in prayer. Whenever you are troubled, pray to God the desires of your heart. According to Proverbs 15:29..."The LORD is far from the wicked: but He heareth the prayer of the righteous."

I am a Psychic Medium and I can assure everyone that prayer works. I have a simple but highly effective ritual for sending Distant Healing that can be adapted for all circumstances. I hold a Rose Quartz crystal in my hand against my heart and recite the following: From my soul to your soul (I say their name) From my heart to your heart I send Love, Light (I raise my hands above my head like a candle) Healing and Peace (I stretch out my arms and push the positive energy towards whoever needs it) Of course there is no need to do any ritual. The fact that you are thinking about that special person will do all the work for you! Blessings Jane
