one every 400 000 kids have this sickness..and this woman has two sons who have it. It is really pitiful, because the boys are in wheelchairs and they bite their hands and even mouth- some parts are even gone already, the lower lip and some parts of the finger.. they even bite their mother.. It's so sad becasue they can't control themselves at all..The doctor says they find joy in inflicting pain to themselves...

I would imagine some sort of psychotherapy or heavy-duty counselling quite likely would help them get to the root of the problem of what makes them want to self-harm in the first place?

I think that is one of the reasons why this documentary/case study was made- to help people like them.. I do hope they can be cured so their suffering would end already and the people around them too.

Yes, i do hope that someday they would be treated... it's really sad, they cannot even control themselves from biting, they may even kill themselves if this continues on.. Thank your for your response.

how sad... i have heard of this kind of illness. im not sure if it has cure at all, but it has no cure, then i hope there's at least a medication these children can get to help them prevent the biting. or let me say to help their body and brain control the biting. i hope that woman you mentioned will just stay faithful to God and stay strong all the time for her kids. :)

Yes, God can make miracles, I hope He can cure the children... It's really sad becasue the illnesses that are really life-threatening don't have a cure at all.. Thanks for your response.

yes, I hope so too - I can't even begin to imagine how much pain the mother feels when she sees her children hurting themselves..she also shared that she cries sometimes, but then her children cries with her too.
