Why do many people choose to be cremated after death?

I know that we all have the same fate to die. Many are in favor to be cremated so that in the near future their family would not bothered to relocate their ashes to another place. To myself I do not favor this idea because death is already very painful. How mush more if you are cremated? How about you my friends?Do you favor to be cremated or just be buried?

Hmm... personally, I haven't thought about this. Maybe it has something to do with a subconscious wish not to die yet. Hahaha. =P But anyway, today is a 'think practically' day for me it seems, so... =P I personally do not see cremation as causing further pain... it's actually quite practical. My grandfather was cremated. His ashes are kept at the home of one of my uncles. The cost in terms of upkeep is less, I suppose... And we wouldn't need to go to the cemetery when we visit him. Avoid the crowds too...

The truth is life itself is very tempting that our earthly body does not choose to expire when its time have already come, yet all of us has to go all these things whatever may the causes.I am against cremation because as I think we can still feel the heat when the process operates.

I have take note about your practicality, yet I am not still convinced to be cremated when I am expired. You are in favor of cremation as you see its economic effects in todays expenses.I am sticking to my old style of just buried and wait till I am decayed of time.

There are a lot of people choosing to be cremated than buried? Where did you get this thought? I think it's still the other way around in my area. I don't know of anyone who would rather go for cremation. We did a study a few months ago in our area asking them if they'd want to be cremated or buried, still majority of the answers chose to be buried instead. As for me, I don't really have a fixed thought about the matter. I guess being buried is traditional and it would be great to have the family gathered during special occasions - which we usually do in our family and clan members. However, because of costs, I guess being cremated would also be a cost cutter. I guess when I'm older, that'll be the time when I have to choose, but for now I'm leaning towards being buried.
