I came to write this topic because i saw my high school crush in our school's page in facebook. I can still remember how my classmates would tease me when we see him, and how would i react with my blushing cheeks. Oh, nothing beats high school life :)

Well, I can remember my first High School crush. I can remember also being like 19 or 20, and running into his Sister and finding out he had gotten married. It about broke my heart. I was able to refind him and his family via Facebook, and since I am going to IL soon will be meeting with his sister for the first time in over 25 yrs. so it will be interesting. Almost wishing him and his wife could show up there as well.

YES, I do still recall my high school crush or was it she who had a crush on me? I am now 73 and by July 14 I'll be 74 and still my mind is very clear about her. Our cadet ring hop was fast approaching. It was a much-awaited event for high school students especially lovers. I was 17 then and was too ignorant of the word love and its ramifications. Others perhaps were thinking of that forthcoming affair but not me. One school day while some of us boys and girls were in the school library, the ring hop affair was discussed. One of my classmates Lorenzo loudly called "Alma" to say: Will you be my ring hop partner? In an equally loud voice, Alma who was 2 seats behind me quickly responded: "Sorry, but I'm already paired to Nicanor". I was truly taken aback at her pronouncement. In truth and in deed we're not intimate to each other. Not a word was exchanged between us before. She made the advances, I murmured to myself. So as to please her, I acceded to her request. Come the night of the affair. We boys were in trubenized coat and tie, while the girls were dressed beautifully in flowing gowns. After the ring hop proper, it was dance for everyday.
I must admit I stayed frozen in my seat, my feet were trembling and was perspiring cold. After about 4 or 5 music pieces, I did my utmost to cross the dancing hall to pick Alma for a dance. We did a few steps of the waltz but my knees kept trembling. Can shyness kill? We didn't finish the piece because I urge her to go home with me. In that moonlight night- there was no motorcab then in 1955- we walked the long unpaved road to her home in Salog. Since then till now we've seen nothing of a shadow of each other.

Oh yes! I still remember all my High School crushes! Yes, I have a lot of crushes during high school days, and even one of them became my boyfriend.
As of now I am wondering where they are now for it has been a decade that I haven't seen or heard anything from them.
High school days is really really worth remembering and worth smiling.

Hi!
When I read your discussion title, my reaction was "of course!". And then came the rushing of memories of the faces of my crushes back when I was in high school.^^ Not just my crushes but my first love as well. @.@ I don't think I will ever forget him. His name is spelled out in an old poster displayed in my room after all. lol I think he has a family of his own now.
Oh and I remember, it was just recently that I saw one of my past crushes and I was really surprised because he already has those fats that one gets when he/she gets married. He still has the looks that made my heart flutter back then but I see him in a different way now. He's totally not my type anymore. lol And to think I was always uneasy when he comes over to our house back then! (He and my brother were friends.) And here's the thing, I also had a crush on another two of my brother's friends and they are all friends! lol Too bad my brother lost contact with them (I think) so they don't come over to our house anymore. All my brother's friends who now come over to our house are all ugly.

I remember there were several. One was named Ted and he lived right across the street from us. I would watch him from my window. He would talk to me occasionally. Nothing ever happened. Then I had a crush on a guy who went to our church. We used to writes notes back and forth in church. My girlfriend invited him over one night. We sat outside and talked and he kissed me.

You are right, nothing beats high school life. Well, I always see my high school crush, who already married just like me now. When my eldest son was in Kindergarten, his son and daughter was classmates. Of course our acquaintance is very usual. As far as I know, he even no knowledge that I have crush on him during our high school days. But I know my feeling with him before is just infatuation, it is a part of a teenager life. So nothing to worry about if we happens see each other always.

yes, and I had many! an average of one per schoolyear! hahaha. There was one guy, though, that I was really crazy about. He was in a band, he played guitar and was so cute. When I think back, I would always think, I had a super crush on you, but I'm over you now! He'll always have a place in my heart, though. haha!
