nowadays in the name of entertainment makers produce filthy movies which are unbearable and uncomfortable to watch in front of kids or with family....simply unecessary obscenity is added in the story..... don't you think cinemas need to rethink and change its ways????

I think that there are a lot of movies out for a year and there are movies in every kind of jenre, so if you want to watch movies with your family or with your children you can go to animation or any family movie. That's exactly why they make this rate...where you can find out what the normal age for the specific movie.

I do agree, but if you are going to a movie that is rated R, then you know what to expect and not to watch that movie with children. I have definitely watched some pg13 movies that I don't think are suited for 13 year olds at all though.

In a way I agree, the studios who make the movies do need to improve the quality of their movies in many ways. But at the same time I feel the board who classify and give movies there certificate also need to improve as it is these guys who say what is acceptable for audiences of certain ages to watch. And so for me it is these guys who need to act in order to make sure that family friendly entertainment is just that.

I guess I would have to disagree to a certain extent. If a movie is NOT family friendly, why take your family to see it? The entertainment industry has a right to make different geners of movies from comedies, to horror or to kid friendly. I do think its important to view the rating of the film before you take your kids to see it. Im just speaking in general. I use to work at a movie theater, and I hate to see parents taking their 3-4 year old kids to a horror film. Never understood why they would do this and the kids are in the theater yelling and screaming. Again, its not the enertainment makers who should watch what they do, because they have a core audiance. The makers are not looking to make a horror film and expecting little kids to watch it. Its the parents who need to rethink and change their ways. Again with the example, if a movie is not family friendly then don't take your family to see it.

I don't think movies are all obscene, but then I find myself watching a whole lot more movies geared towards kids (HEY! They're good movies for any age!). Or I go for the lesser-known and more independent films. I recently saw "Soul Surfer" in theaters, and I thought it was a great movie. Clean and fun for the whole family. Yes, I think loads of movie geared towards older audiences try to push the line, but good movies aren't that hard to find if you know what to look for.

I agree, but at least we still have family movies made for children. Pixar is still a reliable source of child friendly entertainment. But I do agree, and if I have kids I would feel much safer choosing movies from the classics section, where I know there won't be so much inappropriate content.
