Are you a nosy neighbor who needs another hobby?

Have you ever had a neighbor you probably don't know call and complain about you and then receive something from your city claiming the person had a right to complain?? Where I live does not incorporate a home owners association or any separate listing of rules that determines what color you paint your house, what your yard looks like, or what you're allowed to park in your driveway or on the side - some HOAs for example tell you that you cannot park a trailer or RV or boat in your driveway or on the side if you don't have a bay to park it in.
Anyway, I am still irked about whoever COMPLAINED about some piles of leaves. It's not like I live on a street of homes that are all ready for a House Beautiful photo shoot. There are plenty of my neighbors who don't have *lovely* yards and perhaps they ought to hire their own landscaper before they complain about someone else.
How is this ever fair? I run in my neighborhood sometimes so I DO see other homes. The difference is - unlike whoever this was, I have a life so I don't care what my neighbor's house looks like. Have you ever been reported by a nosy neighbor who needs another hobby, or ARE YOU the nosy neighbor who needs another hobby??

I must say i reported neighbors before. but not for anything as silly as leaves. but i did report my nextdoor neighbor for smoking pot in front of my apartment and beating up his girlfriend!!! He was such a jerk! and he was a bit upset that i wasn't scared of him...

Nope, and this reminded me of a saying I once heard contributed to Confucius. Do not worry about the snow on your neighbours roof, when you have not even swept off your doorstep yet.
I think were I in your position I would make up a fancy sign that said that and put in my yard, except we both know you don't really have the time for it, man I hope no one says anything about the leaves in my yard....At least they are in neat piles.

haha no i am not. i do not even know who m neighbors are.. well i see them sometimes but i am not talking with them. whenever i come home from work or whenever i go to work, i see them in those times and we just smile at each other, and do not know what each other's name is. hehe

Wow, that is just crazy! who even cares? Are there any city ordinances that they can use to enforce anything? Why does it matter? Are you serious? leaves? That's it? They really do need to get a real life.. that's about the craziest thing I've ever heard of.

People have nothing better to do than pick on other people and complain. I completely understand believe me. I am not like that at all I try to avoid my neighbors because they ask me too many questions. None of their business. Take care.
