We are worried sick because our 7-year-old daschund has no appetite since last week. We tried giving him milk to warm his stomach and some food pieces to help him get by but hours after he eats he just vomits them. oh we are worried sick! We will be taking him to the vet tomorrow. I do hope the vet can pindown rightaway what is causing this. :(

I'm sorry that you have to go through all this. I think you waited a little too much to take the decision to visit the vet. Throwing up all the food ingested is not a good sign.
A friend of mine had to take her Bichon to have a surgery because she had intestinal obstruction. Her simptoms were the same - she vomited everything she ate.
I hope nothing serious happened to your dog and he will be well soon.
Be prepared to tell the vet everything that happened recently with him: what did he eat, if he was in contact with another sick dog, if his deworming and vaccines are up do date, if he also vomits the water he drinks or he vomits only the food and so on.
I'll keep my fingers crossed for you and Pluto.

I am sorry to hear this. I do not know if it will work for you but last month my dog would not eat and she started to vomit...well almost vomit. I had no extra cash then and was tight on the budget, my experienced dog owner friend told me to place 2 tablespoon of sugar in a 240ml glass of water. I was suspecting she got food poisoned since my dog likes picking up food on the street when we are not paying close attention. Anyway she got better after that and started eating again.

I am glad that you are taking your Dachshund to the vet tomorrow. Any change in behavior (such as not eating, going to the bathroom in the house, etc.) can be a sign that something is not right with your dog. I truly hope that it is nothing serious, and that your vet will be able to set him back on a healthy path. Best wishes for you and your pet!
