Now i know why it is good to make videos of the kids while they are small!

I was looking for something last night ( i actually forgot what it was. really) and while doing it so..i found my flash drive which i thought i lost a year ago! it was my flash drive where i saved videos and pictures of my children from the digital camera..so i opened it and we found the videos still ok! no file was ever corrupted, my hubby then inserted it in our DVD player and the videos where old videos of them! it was such a laugh watching it..one video was my now 4 year old son's first bday party!!!
my son was even telling us last night if who that kid was!! and we told him it was him and he could not even believe it was him! it was so nice watching the video and reminiscing even my huby thought it was priceless! my one year old kid was even muttering his name because he thought it was him in the video because they do look a like! it was fun. now i know why i must make videos of them..one video was of my daughter dancing and she was like 2 years old at that time and she could not believe it was her! well it was a laugh and it was a good night.. now i know, i must make more videos of them.

Yes, its nice to reminisce the past. Most especially if its childhood days. I really like taking pictures of my kids. When i was a child i got tons of pictures with my cousins. My grandparents piled those. When we cleaned my grandparents place, we saw the albums and we had a great time looking at our silly faces and how much we've grown since then.

Yes it is fun to look back at how we look like and how we dress and how cute we were and how much of a monster or a princess we turned out

Yes, kids grow up fast no matter how much we don't want them to! But, if you capture these moments while they are young, you would always remember how they were. Fast forward to the future, you could use these video or pictures for their "wedding movie" when they get married someday. It's a usual trend now in weddings to show the bride/groom when they were growing up. These videos/pictures would also be appreciated by their future kids! I remember that as a kid, I loved looking at old photographs of my parents. I couldn't believe they looked that way before!

I found treasure! but yes you are right they do grow up so fast!!
sad to say, i never really saw much pictures of my parents..i guess because they do not have money back then to use for pictures, i know my parents toiled a lot to be able to survive.

Yes, it feels good to watch your child's video or still photograph a couple of months or may be a couple of years later. One can really feel as to how their child looked, walked and played then.

yes my friends do like to made video recording of his son bathing first walk , crying and tantrum and many daily activites that is fun and funny.Maybe later when he is famous celebrity can be sold for charity or quick bucks.Imagine the pictures of Tom Cruise sitting on the potty in the market how much that will cost for the charity when sold.haha.Baby pictures and videos are precious as history record and growth progress.

Hi there, it's definitely a great feeling to see your kids back in their childhood. Recently my aunt gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, i gifted her a cam corder so that she can record the angel's activities and email it to me. I don't have much photos and videos of me as a kid but now i wish to see myself when i was a kid. Well, now that its not possible, i will treasure heaps of videos and photos of my kids.

Oh... I wish I had more photos and videos of myself as a kid too! I remember having a hard time making a growing-up scrapbook project in school with only a few pictures.
I have 2 boys of my own now (6 and 4) and I always take pictures and videos of them. I have the pictures printed and made into a scrapbook. It's a remembrance of good times with the whole family.

It sounds as if you found a treasure while you were looking for the other item. I am glad that the files were still good. It is time to get going so that third child will have video memories as well. That was a fun family night to watch old videos.

oh yes you must. i sure wish i could find my videos of my kids. keep hoping i havent lost them just stuck them away somewhere i hope. i brought them out at my daughter once because grandkids on them to and ho-pe i didnt leave them there because most of her stuff was left to get away from a bad hubby. she says she hasnt found them so i just hope they will turn up here in the stored stuff in garage like a lot has. @jazel_juan (15746)

yup, i got a collection of them since birth. My eldest who is now 17 was even denying that he was the 4-year old kid kissing the dog. Funny moments or just plain activities [videos and pictures]captured, then burn them to a CD [which was the most popular medium then]. i got more than 50 cd collection of my kids, and am planning to give it to them when they have their own families, lol!

its so fun when we watch back those memories saved in our gadget's memory,even me always save those video files of my nieces and nephew while they are still baby and young so that when they grow up they could see who are they in childhood life.

That's great to hear. Your kids will also feel more valued when you keep videos and photos of their childhood. There are some instances when you can use them at school.
I think my mom doesn't have much photos and videos of me as a kid. And whenever we need baby pictures and stuffs at school I find it really hard. Lucky though my granny has a lot of baby pictures of me. What I'm saying is even my mom regrets not taking more pictures of me when I was a kid. Technology wasn't so advanced then so videos were also kinda hard to grasp.
Your kids are lucky because you are there to document their life's memories.

yes i know what you mean, it was just lately when digital cameras became popular, i also do not have much baby pictures myself, i have only when i was a toddler but not when i was a baby
