My sister had a thing with romance novels. Her bookshelves are filled with Judith McNaught, Julie Garwood, Susan Elizabeth Phillips, Julia Quinn, Jude Deveraux and I had a fair share of reading them. Indeed it could make you fantasize and would want your life to be a fairytale however do men in their books exist? I've read that Judith McNaught patterned the men in her novels to her husband, probably the reason why her stories are at the top cause it could happen so perfect and in paradise. And she's on the top of my list as my favorite Romance author.

Danielle Steel ... lots of my female classmates used to love books from this author and they would be engrossed reading novels from this author in class. The book pages are thick and never-ending. On the other hand , I'd love it if Tom Clancy diverts his war / political genre for just one novel and write a romance novel , hehe...will be getting lots of female fans for sure.

It'll definitely be interesting to know what female readers think about Tom Clancy's novel .. if it's a romance. I know it won't happen .. and I'm a big fan of Tom Clancy's books.

ive only read a few different romance authors but jennifer crusie really impressed me. her romance stories also bring in elements of mysterysuspense and lots of humor i highly recommend welcome to temptation. its about a woman and her sister who travel to a small town, temptation, to make a film. the woman falls for the hot mayor of the town and manages to stir up local life quite a bit, and then someone gets murdered. throughout the story you have great witty dialogue and humorous situations as well.

Hi. lazybug. Welcome to myLot! My favorite romance authors would be Sandra Brown and Nora Roberts. Their are many others, but I can't remember the name of these romance authors. I have read so many romance novels when I was a teenager. My dad has even given me a bunch of romance novels that he or my stepmother ordered in the mail. I was so glad to read these books. I was so passionate about reading when I was a teenager. I still am, but just not as passionate when it comes to romance novels that is.

The only romance books I've ever read are the Nora Roberts ones, but I quite like them.
My favourites are the paranormal romance style - like Morrigan's Cross and Dance Upon The Air (I can't remember the name of either series, but those are the first books in each). They're not cringe-worthy, or too mushy, but they are sweet. The female characters aren't all useless either, they're independent and capable of handling themselves!
