Maybe no more airport security pat downs?

Researchers at Massachusett Institute of Technology(MIT) have developed sensor that can detect explosives. This could change how security is done. Currently body searches, body scanners, and bomb sniffing dogs are the current tools for detecting explosives. The problem with body searches and scanners is the obvious violation of personal privacy, and dog although reliable can make errors. With the implementation of these new sensors, science might be providing us with the ability to enjoy both security and privacy. Of course it will take time to full develop these sensor into a commercial security tool, but it is definitely something to look forward to. http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2011/05/110509161759.htm

That's good because we do need more added security. I know it will be alot better for alot of people though because it was getting a little ridiculous with the way they were searching people and their items.

Maybe one day I will be able to get on an airplane without feeling like I should have expected a $20.

Wow, this sounds really good! Let's hope they manage to install these sensors in every major airport, I think it would make travelling much safer. About body scanners, I have nothing against them, and I definitely prefer being watched for a few seconds by a professional policeman rather than being blown out of an aircraft 30000 feet above the ground.
