I know even though the flood waters have receded in my area there are still some parts of Western KY that is dealing with flood waters as it begins to move out of the area and I am hearing about it reaching record level flood history in Missouri and Mississippi. And considering I had to deal with only a mild version of what the people are experiencing I can say I feel for ya. It is a sick feeling thinking about what could happen to your home and especially a sick feeling when you have to leave your home.
So is anyone experiencing any of the 2011 flood waters? And how are you dealing with it?

I'm in Louisiana and flooding hasn't been a big problem where I live yet this year. But a couple years before katrina, we had flooding in our neighborhood. And that had never happened before. There is a small creek and gully off into the woods, and when hurricanes come through the gully fills up, but nothing goes into the street. But that time was different. It came a foot from our front door and we rode in a boat around our yard and the street. It didn't stay up for long, only 12 hours before it went down. But it was scary to know our home could have flooded. I was little then, so it was fun for me to play in the water but now that I've moved and my mom still stays there, I worry for her. I have to call all the time when there is bad weather to check on her. luckily I've moved to higher ground and I'm further away from the coast and rivers.
