This might seem outrageous, or at least an exaggerated parody, but life has taught me that you just can't exaggerate the actions of the left.
Hundreds of thousands of acres are ablaze in Texas. The state has requested federal assistance, but Obama has refused... even after a fire fighter is killed.
On the other hand, Obama sent U.S. Air Force fire fighting assets and personnel to Mexico to help them battle a fire burning up a few hundred acres...
Don't lie to me about any concern this "president" has for the United States, his actions speak so loudly, I can't hear your lies.

Texas and Arizona are a thorn in Hussein's side...I doubt he would ever do anything to help them...but then he probably would not do much to help any state anymore. States are starting to stand up and fight back. They are starting to realize that the Feds are not the gods they think they are and that they are out to destroy the States rights.
Eventually, the neighboring States will lend a hand. Georgia usually pitches in when Fla. has bad fires. I cannot ever remember the Feds. helping us out, not even when the whole central part of the state burned a number of years ago.

He didn't win Texas and he probably won't again. Why would he bother sending them any federal relief funds? On the other hand, he wants the Latino (and possibly the illegal immigrant) vote, so putting out fires in Mexico makes much more political sense.
Yeah, after two years of this kind of tactic - punishing America and her allies while rewarding her enemies and sucking up to them - I am a bit fed up with the one president, who in my memory, seems to care the least about America and Americans.

Well this actually good be a good sign if States stop relying on the Fed then maybe the fed will get the hint to back off.
But denying a state that has a massive fire happening in its border would be a completely constitionally supported action by sending in help to the state hence why the Union was formed was so that if a state had and issue to it their is a central body that could move the resources needed to get it done. of Course I believe congress could pass a law that would require the president to send in the fire fighters required to get the job done.
I am sure other states will send what they can I know Oregon normally sends teams in as far as Montana I believe but who knows they might send a team down to texas also our National Guard might go down their too.
I hope Texas gets the help that they obviously need for this fire.

Wild Land Firefighers aren't licensed at the state level, they are licensed at the federal level. Therefore, it is completely appropriate for a governor to request fire fighters and assets from the federal government.
Congress can pass a bill requiring Obama to send aid, but he doesn't have to sign it into law. The BLM and Interior Department are part of the Executive Branch, so Congress really doesn't have a lot of say in how their assets are used.
Yes, I hope other states are willing to take up Obama's slack... as usual.
I'd hate to think Obama might miss a tee time or anything.

Yes, there are wild land firefighers employeed at the state and county level, even at the private level, but we are all certified by the Federal Government.

I know my State has state level fire fighters for these kind of fires (a Part of the State National Guard is dedicated to it) So the Governor could send them down there to help with the fire effort as well he would have control of where he sends them but as my state is ran by a Democrat I don't see it as being likely that my governor would do something like this also well he has a lot of issues. I personally would feel better knowing that Oregon would go and respond to help a fellow State that was denied help from the Federal Government. As for Obama helping Mexico I understand it in a lot of ways as the United States always helps countries that have an issue solving their own internal problems that is why I am still surprised we never invaded Mexico when it looked like the Government was going to collapse from the gangs that where and still are down there. But other States that are closer and more fit to do the job might do it as they would be able to get their quicker and give the help needed where Oregon would take a lot longer to get people down there to take up the cause.

What??! Your presidents need to stop giving millions and millions of dollars and man hours away to other countries to help them with their emergencies if they don't even care about their own citizens...what kind of message does that send to Americans? You're good enough to give money to help other people but don't deserve any help yourselves?

It says he would gladly put a bullet in any American's head if it means he can play president another term.

The thought, "can't exaggerate the actions of the left" explains alot. Now we know how the right can get away with saying anything. Poor liberals.
The problem, from a states right's point of view, is why expect the Federal government to bail Texas out. We don't want a big Federal government remember? Resources are thin at the Federal level thanks to several disasters and flooding in the Mississippi Valley and, of course, budget cuts. Why not use a few resources to help our Southern neighbor, which appreciates the help, instead of pissing off Texas citizens by "butting in". It is a no win situation for Obama's Administration. You'd be bashing them for it either way.

What a bunch of crap!
It isn't "butting in" when Texas asks for federal help in fighting wild land fires. It is Interior Department's fire agency doing its job. When I was a Wild Land Fire fighter, my Red Card didn't mention any state, it was issued by the federal government.
Fire teams aren't limited to any state, they go where the fires are.
If you would bother to read other posts of mine, you would find there are some where I support Obama.
So are there any other ignorant stereotypes of the right you'd like to vomit on us?
Obama can take time out of his golf game to go to Texas to lie about finishing the fence, and laugh in the faces of the people grieving the murders of their loved ones.. but expect him to do his job? That's just asking too much of the Chicago thug!

Yeah, but that's how they make you believe they're not thugs - they smooth-talk their way into living rooms.

Any other ignorant stereotypes of the left YOU wanna vomit on us, Mr "can't exaggerate the actions of the left" (And is it a stereotype to think the right prefers to support state's rights?)
The point was, someone in the administration (and probabaly not Obama BTW, though I'm sure he had to approve it after the reasons were already given) made a cost/benefit analysis and decided on this course of action.
It is a "bunch of crap" for you to rain down on the decision based on your theory that the President, or his administration, has a hidden agenda. He did his job, you just didn't like it.
"If you would bother to read other posts of mine . . ." is irrelevant. I can only comment on what I read here. And I was only trying to provide an alternative, if fantastical, vision of the decision-making process. I don't think anyone really believes Obama would make a decision just to piss of state's rights fanatics, but it makes for a fun theory.
Where you are most correct is identifying this as a question we should always ask of the government: Why did we do what we did? It is not, however, a simple right versus left problem.
PS- He's more of a Chicago smooth-talker, than a Chicago thug.

I'm not talking about the "ideal" politician. I'm talking about a president who refuses to send aid after a firefighter has been killed in the line of duty, THEN sends aid to a minor fire in another country.
He's a pathetic little worm.

There is a huge organizational difference between structure firefighters and wild land fire fighters. But yes, it is sad when any of them get killed.
My outrage is over Obama refusing to allow aid to Texas, but sending help to Mexico for a very small fire.
He has proven time and time again that he cares nothing for America.
Nothing at all.

You know Ted, you keep carping on the fact that a fire fighter lost his life and that is a sad, sad event but I can remember an incident in Philly where twenty three fire fighters lost their lives and no one asked for or excected federal assistance.

How absolutely shocking! This usurper never ceases to amaze me. He is so blatant in his destruction of the USA and so many American are blind to his devastation.
I hope when he went to Texas for his fundraiser the Texans remembered how he ignored their State in it's time of need!!!

A Texas federal agent has accused the government of starting the fire in Texas. Like it has been pointed out don't mess with Chicago land. Shortly after the 2008 election, Sarah Palin's church was set fire causing one million dollars in damage. Police and fire department officials reports said it was set by professionals.

What more than this usurper has already done will it take for this country to wake up and smell the destruction?
Nothing you have said is hyperbole; in fact it's probably underexaggerated. Yes, his actions speak volumes louder than his duplicitous words.
He HATES America and triumphs over all the jihadi success he has achieved here since no one will challenge him for fear of being labeled "racist", the Soros, etc. gambit from the get-go.
It is BHO's explicit mission to exterminate the USA in every way, sovereignty, freedom, economy, ALL WE HAVE AND ALL WE ARE.
He IS the next phase of Bin Laden, 9/11, and all the evil and hatred aimed against us and Israel, focused, concentrated, and given the ultimate power to destroy us from within.
