nest on top of a bird house

I have posted another picture for my Mylot friends. My sister noticed this at her house. A robin's nest on top of a bird house...that the swallows are now occupying. I would think that this wouldn't work out....considering the nests are too close to each other...and the birds would be paranoid about harming the other's babies. Notice how one branch is around the nest. Perfect for holding a nest. birds are definitely smart.

The nest on the top of the nest is a spare room for her bird friend. Just kidding.

They sure are. We have blue birds that come back to nest every year in our birdhouse. We put out a new birdhouse this year also and hope they will nest in it too.

For sure. I have watched the hatching of the eagles in Decorah Iowa...it's amazing to see how they take care of them etc...how they build their nest and the size of it too! Over six feet wide!!!! They are alot smarter then they are given credit for!
