I adore how she can take over England's throne at a very young age, and became the longest reign in british monarchy.. What a strong women..

Hi. Well, I have to admit that even though I am not an Englishwoman, I have been fascinated by history, most often European history for a very long time. My friends would often joke that I was a good resource person when it comes to history, royalty and the like. I take it as a compliment since I really love the subject.
It is due to this ever-constant interest that I watch historical or era films. The Young Victoria was one of the movies that I really liked becuase of the plot itself (and of course, the costumes) as a history and as a love story.
I really loved the acting and the treatment as a film. Somehow, it was told in a modern perspective even though it happened in a n era that existed so long ago. Till now, I still watch the trailer that makes me smile whenever I watch it.
FYI, the current queen Elizabeth II surpassed the reign of Queen Victoria. I believe she will celebrate a Jubilee nest year to mark her historic ascension to the throne.

I would like to see that movie because I am very interested in history. My class of children a few years ago built a model of Florence Nightingale. We had a school birthday party and Victorian school lessons. One parent lent me a penny fathing bike for the day. Queen Victoria was an amazing lady and it will be lovely for me to find out more about her.
