Sometimes, because its really irritable when someone demands on you and that you haven't fully awake knowing they knew you did sleep very late at night.

Yes, that is my reason for being irritable sometimes too- when the person knows you just woke up then starts ordering you around.. And as cream97 already said, welcome to mylot.

I am usually very pleasant when i wake up. I am rarely in an irritable mood at that point of my day. It usually takes more circumstance and effort than just waking up to cause my irritability.

I only become irritable when people around my house talk to me all the time when i just wake up. So I just stay away from them and eat my breakfast, silently and not talking..until after i take a bath.

@saratafuri It is usually my mother who wakes me up every morning and i don't really get angry at her unless she talks loudly at me early in the morning..

I need to have an alarm clock, because when someone wakes me up I get really annoyed at them as if they were being mean haha. Even if I ask them to wake me up. Therefore I always use my phone or something. and yes i usually am irritable. I enjoy a nice slow, relaxing morning.

It really irks me when someone wakes me up in the morning .... worse is when they come with a questionnaire. In general i'm not too good with those who wake me up in odd times especially in the midnight.Great day.

Hmmm ... that is quite surprising to hear from you, Sunny, especially since every time that I have woken you up at "odd times" you have seemed quite cheerful.

@sunnycool Well, a questionnaire would definitely be one way to ruin your morning.. Yeah, I hate being woke u in the middle of the night too, or when the sun isn't up yet..

My boyfriend is like that and it's really annoying. He has an extreme case of it, because he will act like a child if anyone wakes him up, even if he has to go somewhere. I am surprised that he manages to have a job with that attitude.

@sashakiddo why don't you tell him how you feel abut hid attitude.. so he would knw and try to change it. Or you can let him be for a while so he would know that it is a bad attitude especially if he becomes late in his appointments.

awwwww i can't imagine my boyfriend with that kind of attitude. but if he was and continues to be like that no matter how many times i tell him not to, i would probably yell at him and smack him to awaken his senses! maybe there is just some stimuli that aggravates him in the morning?

Hello arunadas and welcome to mylot. Yes, if only it wasn't just 24 hours a day, or we could pause life for a while to get more sleep. That would be really nice.

I think I wake up in a good mood most of the time. Maybe it's because when I first wake up, I don't get up, instead I snooze a bit more. But when I am rudely and prematurely awakened, that's when I get cranky! :D

Oh, we are different, when I wake up early in the morning I have to hurry since I still have school and other stuff so I don't get to snooze much.. Maybe I should try that so I won't get so easily irritated when I wake up..

Actually, before I go to sleep (when I used to go to school), I'd conditioned myself to wake up at a particular hour, usually one hour and 15 minutes before school hours. I set my alarm in a way that I can still snooze for 15 minutes. ;) I am quite OC, so I don't like waking up and having to rush for school. :D Best of luck on your studies! :)

Hi there. This used to be my attitude when I was not yet a mother. But now that I am, i discipline myself not to be the person that gets irritated fast. I have to be more patient. Even how tired I am, I always make sure I wake up with a positive thought so i don't get irritated easily.

yes, being a mother is a really tough job and it does require lots of patience and discipline, since you have to look after your children day and night... Seeing your kids happy can me your motivation to be more patient.

Hi. lady1993. Yes, I am very irritable when I wake up, especially when I am very tired and my youngest daughter wakes me up so that I can give her something to drink. Both of my daughters are this way, and it can be very annoying at times.

No, i am never irritated when i wake up because i have a fixed time to get up and i have never deviated from it in all these years.I also never get angry as i am a very cool and calm-minded person.Even if i get angry it will be just for a few minutes as i cool down almost immediately. If you keep anger within you for a long period then it can affect your health, both mentally an physically. So its best not to react but stay cool, calm and collected.

Wow, you are like my father- he really has a lot of patience and rarely gets angry, but he's scary when he does get angry. I just wake up when I wake up, so sometime i may still feel sleepy and get cranky..

I do not like you. After I woke up, I was always aware, there are many jobs that have been waiting for me. Without telling anyone, I must immediately, do it all.

Oh, so you have a lot of responsibility around the house... I don't really have that much to do at home, i only do chores and go to school for now.. Which is why sometime i am lazy especially when i Just woke up. Maybe I'd mature when I grow old enough..

It all depends on when I am woken up and how I am woken up. If there is a good reason for being woken up in the middle of the night, such as my little one is sick, then it does not really bother me (other than being concerned that she is sick, of course). If I am woken up early, but it is done nicely, especially if there is a cup of coffee in hand, then that is alright as well. When I am startled awake (like with the bed being kicked or screamed at or something like that), then that tends to put me in a lousy mood for a while at least.

Yes, it does depend on how a person is woken up . Normally people who are woken up "violently" wouldn't take it well.

hi there, well it depends if i had a good sleep or not like i lack sleep and someone wakes me up. or when someone or something aggravates me right after i wake up heheheh i know sometimes i get so cranky in the morning and i would feel sooooooo guilty about how i act with my family but i always feel refreshed and lite right after i take a shower like i change right away hehehe.

Yeah, we are quite the same, after I get angry at some of my family members I feel guilty and try to make up for what I did.. Fortunately it doesn't always happen.

I'm the same way. I don't feel like I have any "me" time. I mean, my kids come in and wake me up and before I can even get out of bed they're asking me for all kinds of stuff. Now, yes, I know that's normal...that's what kids do...that's what mothers are for. But it still irritates me and starts my day off crummy. If I've gotten a good night's sleep, it not as bad. But that RARELY happens! It just gets overwhelming with all the "can I can I...mommy, can you get...mommy, can you make...mommy, where's my..."....*scream* I totally understand.

Hello spurlgirl and welcome to mylot. My day isn't really like that since I am not even a mom yet- you should really be patient with kids since you are already a mom. They'll grow up soon anyway.

If I am woke up before I am ready to be woke up, than I can be slightly surly early in the morning. It is just one of those things where it does take me a little bit to really get mentally going in the morning, but if I get up right away, on my own accord, on my own terms, it only takes really slightly less time for me to get mentally going. If I am pulled out of my sleep before I am ready to get up, then yes, I can be slightly irritated. And by slightly irritated, I mean very much so. I can be a real bear when pulled out of my slumber prematurely.

It all depends on whether I sleep soundly or not.If I woke up with less than 7 hours of sleep I am usually cranky. My mood does not persists though. I can easily bounce back from a sort of "moody morning". There are some days that I wake up cheerful as a bird. I guess it will depend on your personality.

Yeah, cranky, that's the word i am looking for... All my crankiness is washed away after I take a bath though.. I agree, it does depend on a person's personality since some are just always cheerful
