This poroverb "Behind every successful man there is a Woman" is fully wrong..?

Hi siliguri, I am afraid you missed the underlying meaning of the proverb. This is used as a metaphor. Here the word "woman" does not stand only for a wife or a mother. The woman here is a mother, a friend, a guide, a counselor, an inspiration, a lover, a colleague, a a sister and so and so forth. Do not you think the help you out in one or the other way. See Dante's became a world figure only because of his love for Beatris, Wordsworth was inspired by his sister Dorothy, Though we often blame women that they have created a fissure in the family, actually there is silent support of the husband. One of the seventh wonder of the world the "Taj Mahal" was inspired by Shahjahan's love for Mumtaz Begum. Hence just looking it from one single point would be an injustice.

I guess it depends on the situation. My husband has been in the Navy our whole relationship. He didnt plan on retiring from it. We had our kids and I told him he really needed to stay in. he just made cheif and I have to say if it wasnt for my help in pushing him to choose this as a career for now, taking care of our kids, being a support for him he wldnt be cheif. He has told me, if it wasnt for me he would be working at Walmart most likely. I know his efforts and determintaion have also got him where he is. Without working together though and making these plans he wldnt be where he is. There are successful guys who do it without a woman, just like the women who are successful without a man. So it depends on the situation. I think the proverb isnt really talking about money wise though, I think its talking about happiness and family. Without the woman he wldnt have the children. Without his mate he might not be as happy. So together they make a happy and fulfilling life, therefore behind every successful man there is a woman and behind every successful woman there is a man.

I mentioned this on many dicussions - Without a woman there would be no man... that itself is enough to prove that mere existance of man is only due to a woman... so everything he does goes for the woman... like it or not

In some cases, this is actually very true. Only because before the man was successful, the couple were already together and they supported each other as they climbed up. In reality behind every successful person, there will always be a good support network, be it in the form of family, friends or relatives, teachers. Of course, there are always going to be some people who have managed it all by themselves but can't be truly happy because they have no one to share the good times with them.

hi, i agree with you my fellow mylotter,i agree that is fully wrong,this proverb telling it very generally while not all successful still single in life or even really dont have a woman behind of his success,there are still successful man but still dont have woman.

The write quotation is this: "The success of a man is behind a woman." or its opposite: "the Fall of man is behind a woman." I think this kind of quotation was created because there were many instances in the history of the world that this happened. Likewise we can also read in the Holy Bible a lot of success and of fall of men because of women: For example: Abraham and His wife Sarah, Deborah and Barak, Samson and Delilah, King David and Bathsheba, Ruth and Boaz, Jesus and Mary and many more.

I in a way, do not agree with that saying. I believe that any person's success does not totally rely on another person but more so on one's perseverance to succeed. But I must also credit other people important in one person's life that could somehow contributed to one's success.

It is fully correct my dear friend~ Behind every successful man there is a woman even if the women perhaps not physically exist (already die)~ Plus they are success or not there is still woman beside or behind or I would say around them~

Yes. I have to disagree with you. Different way of interpreting the proverb. Yes. All men and women are given birth only by women. So there cannot be a man without Mother. There are instances where child is born after the demise of father. a man can be without his father even at the time of birth also. The boy child is brought up well or badly by his mother - a women. This young lad is guided to perform more or motivated to perform more by young girls - women. After marriage again it is women who guide the men to achieve more and more. So behind every successful or unsuccessful man there is a woman!!

As human beingg, we all need that support, care, love and encourages(etc)from others, whether it is from family members, friends, colleagues or strangers. male no exceptional, especially successful men, a lot of time, he got those positive feeling, positive support, positive attitude and positive motivation from his wife or soul mate, or from his mother - they play an essential role in helping their men to walk up the hard stairs of the ladder of success with ease and smoothness. why women? according to the study, women can do so much and they can bring the best out of their men more than they think. It is world-wide accepted that a beautiful woman always care about her man and work hard towards his success. The beautiful here I means about her wise and loving character, it's about her inner beauty, which is the actually support for her man to keep working and trying hard to make success. The wise woman always encourages her man to be confident to succeed in this world........... Here I am saying is " This proverb is not wrong ". May be some woman showing their attitude.........

Well, it certainly isn't fully wrong. Every man who ever lived, successful or unsuccessful, had a mother. I don't think anyone's ever successful without some support at some point from someone, and if the successful person is an adult man, chances are that the person closest to him so giving the most support is an adult woman. Similarly, just by virtue of basic statistics, most successful adult women will have an adult man in their life.

there is no doubt that the way of saying has its truth.certainly,there are still some men achieve their successes without a woman.After all it is less examples.In my eyes,we can not say it is fully wrong.There still many guys achieving their successes with a woman in his back.May be we can not believe how a woman can be so important to a man.May be woman can give encourages to a man.They also supply warm concerns for men.keeping a happy life for men.so men can be more successful in their work with the good mood!
