Yea, I actually came across one yesterday in a comment from a blog about Freelancer.com and this is what he wrote: Anonymous (18:58:23): Hi, I have been one of the scammers you are talking about. and I am here to confess my guilt. I started my business with zero money in my pocket and a computer, printer and 128kbps internet speed in India and that too when the recession was at its peak in 2009. As business is hard to get and impossible especially when there in no money. So had to put fake project posts on freelancing/job/article sites asking for demo samples on it and people started pouring in the free articles that are worth some $500. And here in India I can hire an employee for 4 months for this much amount. But now I am successful and run a team of 5. I feel ashamed that I did this. I want to repay those people who made my business a success. I am writing this not to gain sympathy but to justify that I exploited some people for a day but now I provide a full-time job to 5 people. I hope those who are reading this will forgive me. And sorry could not give my correct website and name as my image might get tarnished. Seeking Apologies… especially from Matt Barrie. Thanks. At least, he has turned over a new leaf. And Matt Barrie is the Chief Executive of Freelancer.com You can read about the blog here if you want but all the comments are quite lengthy: (not a referral link) http://lisaamartin.wordpress.com/2010/02/24/the-trouble-with-freelancer-com/

The important thing here is we learned something on how these scammers work on their victims, and I'm sure the can think of any other illegal way to get into our pockets and we should be vigilant on offers of help or services from internet marketing guru who promises that we will earn bigtime.

Yea well, at least this one never asks for money. And there are those who ask for money and promising good returns. What I don't understand is how some can still fall for it even when they have heard of scams.

I would love to see that scammer having a taste of his own medicine but I think he already experienced that for sure when he was still a newbie just like most of us on starting point. The wrong thing is that he used that experienced to others.

This is probably why i will never join online marketing forums knowing the risk of joining these scams and then tearfully regrets about it. i believe in karma and i know one day he will loose everything in his time. i don't know why scammers exist in the world but probbaly their reconing will come to an end, never give up i think. or better yet never joined them

well to be fair, there are quite a number of TRUE and HONEST internet marketing guru out there. And these people are giving out their true names and identity, their true services to help a newbie...and although their services/products are quite expensive, at least I know they are legit and true to their offers. Joining online marketing forums is just okay so long as you don't bite easily to any offers given. Further research and queries should be done if ever there is an enticing deal presented to you.

You are right, many of us have been scammed and will continue to be scammed because we are all trying to find honest sites that will do what they promised, to pay us. However, I have not ever had any site come out and admit their wrong doings and the gall to say that there is no shame and the scamming will continue is just wrong and immoral. We as ordinary workers have got to be strong enough to not support the sites that we know are not legitimate and once we discover them we MUST immediately alert the public. That is the only way to shut them down. So thank you for bring this to the public's attention

well we continue to be scammed because of what we want here in the internet. Most of us keep surfing for opportunities to earn money FAST and EASY... that's what most of us want, and those scammers took advantage of what we want and not what we need. What we (newbies) need is to know that there is no such thing as a 'get-rich-quick' scheme here in the internet. What we need to know is that internet marketing takes time, patience, and hard work. There is no easy way as what these scammers are offering.

That was some article. I found it to be very informative and sickening at the same time. That guy should be deleted like a program on a computer. Send him into cyber space. I know there are others like that out there and you're right, we should all be careful when it come to internet marketing. Thanks for that article.
