My country is becoming as much as bad as possible , people who are in good position were kept on asking bribes . Once bribes were given for the people to stop their Works , but nowadays bribes are given for doing their works . A few days back i went for taking a Two wheeler license . There the officials asked me 20 $ as a bribe to get a license , at least around 30 persons would have got the license on that day , if one person is charged 20 $ , think of 30 persons , its 600 $ , think it for a week, month ,year ? Even those money suckers gets the salary from the government monthly ! Is these things happens in your country ?

Yeah some countries more then others but corruption, in my opinion exists in any country and are truly the ones ruining it for the citizens. Absolute power corrupts, is how I see it.

I accept with , " Bribing can be there " but nowadays it became " Bribing should be there " . They became the rules of a firm .

I think it does happen with driver's licences as it happened to me. It was just a con. My instructor said I had to bribe the examiner and I was to leave $20 hidden in the console of the car. For all I know he lied to me and took the money himself. I knew how to drive when I took my test and I was a good driver. Yes, I was a little nervous but otherwise I was OK. To this day I reckon the examiner scammed me out of the money and the examiner was none the wiser. Although sometimes I wonder if they split it but I don't think so. I don't think bribery and corruption is as rife here as it is in your country. People are too ready to jump up and put someone in. There are lot's of systems in place that allow anyone to let the authorities know about cheats and people who are ripping off the system and it can be done anonymously so there is no fear of retribution.,

Bribery is probably universal although we cannot get away with it as much in Australia. My uncle used to live in Venezuela and he told me that everything can be obtained by offering a bribe. My aunty obtained her driver’s licence without lessons or exams but by paying a hefty amount to the examiner. We would not be able to ever do that in our country which I think is fair enough lol!

I'm sure there is bribery here as well. Maybe not to the extent you are talking about, but who knows, it might depend on where we live and to who and what we are attending too. It is illegal here to bribe, but that certainly doesn't mean that it doesn't go on. It is just more carefully hidden I guess.
