Weak electric fan

My electric fan had overheated a couple of times thus weakening its motor and is really a hassle to use.
One morning when I was done with my daily chores and just hanging back I decided to grab a quick nap and cool down with a glass of cold alcomix.
After a few minutes I quickly dozed off. Law and behold after a couple of minutes I was sweating like a pig in an oven, and what caused this discomfort?
My weak electric fan! So even though I turned it on it actually needed a boost, spin it a little bit so that its momentum will let the propeller go full throttle. But too late for the realization the fan is toast for good and only $6 can save it in the repair shop!

IT's about time for u to change the fan. Don't leave it till it finally explode when it gets overheated again. By then it would be too late for u might no even wake up from your nap or sleep. WHen it comes to electrical stuff, it's best to replace them when they are faulty. It's good for u and your family as well your neighbours.

hi freymind I had a big box type that got so you had to make it spin before it would take off. and one day I had just got it going when IU smelled something burning . that fan had quit and was on fire. I unplugged it, got my 2 cup glass of wather and doused the flames. I
'still shake thinking what if that had happened when I was out of the apartment. it cou ld have burned the apartment down. I was so lucky and we bought new ones on sale and tossed the wrecked one out.buy a new one, refixing an old one will do just what mine did, butn up.

Hello Frey mind,
Please do yourself a SAFE favor and buy a new one instead. i think the motor isn't original either, it's a way for you to come back to that repairman and have it replace when its' supposed to be for a long term.
There was one news of numerous fires in the neighborhood. and one cause of that fire was the electric fan that was second class with just repairs but that didn't do well. mine is like 3$ but it's just the same. better buy a new one, it can save you years of constant change of fan motor.

Hey freymind, I'am giving you an advice you can take it or leave it. You better buy a new fan man, its a lot better than causing a fire and toasting all your things. i think it is better to be safe than sorry. It is good that you had it repaired but we all know the life expectancy of that fan is shorter than it was new. So if its no too much for you better buy a new fan. It is more safe, more beautiful to look at, and more life span.
