what kind of Discussions do you like? Long ones thats interesting, or short one that requires only one time reading and boom you can hit the submit button and move on to the next discussion or a simple question answer post where only a yes or no is required. I like anything that is interesting. Long discussions doesn't bother me much as long i know i can express my view about the topic. What about you?

If a topic requires only a yes or no, then it is a violation and likely to be deleted and I avoid those as there is nothing to discuss. The length of the topic makes no difference to me. It is the topic itself which draws my attention and if it is long with several points to discuss then better still. I enjoy the topics posted by those users who will come back and comment and get a discussion going. Those are the fun topics every time!

haha! no wonder you have a 18k besides your name. however some peoples even me find it quite difficult to read a huge discussion which is hard to understand and out of my interest.

If a topic is political or religious then no matter whether it is short or long, I usually avoid it. Most of the other topics though will catch my interest depending on my mood at the particular time when I see them. Oh yes, your number won't increase if you just sit back and watch

Hmmm ... I know of one or two people that can entice you into even the religion and political interests, MysD.

The length of the discussion topic doesn't really bother me one way or the other for the most part. That being said, I don't consider a one line question a discussion. The determining factor for me is generally my mood and how well written the discussion topic is. If it is boring, then I will usually skip it even if it is short and I could churn out a several responses in a short period of time. If it is long and well written, on the other hand, then I might spend quite a while reading and responding throughout the entire discussion thread.

mood thingys.. i get that too alot. There are days when i am about to start replying to discussions and the first topic i start reading turns out to be either very boring or nowhere close to my interest and sometimes it goes on being the same for the next 2-3 discussions so i just close mylot and hope to get something interesting the next time.

Hello Dear rock_rock! This will depend upon the discussion weather I receive or discussion I make! In the discussions I receive as response I like having a detailed response about the subject if the discussion is of opinion type. if it is some informative type there is no problem receiving some few lines giving us pertinent information in a precise way. Since the Yes or No type discussions are not permitted it is out of question to discuss about them! Now coming to responding part of it, I would like to make a suitably lengthy discussion on this forum as we are expected to do so. Just if you observe on the left side ofthe box in which we type there is a message in small letters which asks as to be as descriptive as possible! That means this forum is expecting a suitably lengthy discussion with some quality material in it The information provided in the discussion should be such that the information should help other members also who are going through the response apart from the member who has initiate it! Thus I think by making such responses we are making the discussion a general one! Lengthy discussions leave a scope for opening a dialogue between two members which is the main motto of this forum! participation and making discussion is the main motto of this forum , so I stick to make suitably lengthy discussions! Thanks for the discussion , I liked participating in it!

Glad you liked it and i do agree with you, as i have said before lengthy discussions can generate lots of information which might be useful. so lengthy discussions are not always bad. thanks for your input.

Hello Akrao, nice seeing you here. Like you I would like to receive lengthy responses especially when I was the one who initiated the discussion. However, I am not too particular as with others as I am likely to participate to discs which greatly interests me. I am more inclined to participate in mushy topics such as those involving love and other relationships. Happy mylotting!

I can read any discussion but when it comes to long and more than two paragraph, i ignore to raise it and also to respond it. For me i cant read unless it capture my attention. even in my school days i was bad at reading and writing. And again I should thank god, as we don't have to write to respond, We type!!!

Agreed, reading long ones can be hard but you might get to something important if you go through.

I can't read lonnnnng posts that are just one solid line of text with no line breaks. No-one can. But provided the post is "blog reader friendly" I'll take time to read and respond. I generally avoid one-liners, or discussions about cricket.

I always like short discussions because they take less time and also easy to answer as the answer would also be short. But long ones take too much time and I cannot spare so much time on a single discussion.

Anything that catch my interest, I would gladly intrude that discussion. I usually opt for "cheesy topics" such as love, family and goals in life. These are some of the things that I can relate and is passionate with.

I know right! cheesy topics are less work compared to those hardcore discussions on Economics or Finance which i don't see much lately. Anyways thanx for sharing.
