Hi, Mommy D, you are in the news once again. Happy Birthday! I heard Jinkee say she bought a Hermes bag for you, worth a million bucks, was it? And you had perfected you Tango pas de deus, as well as had your face cleansed and prettified. Well and good! In life, we should really celebrate our birthdays with thanksgiving amongst friends...
I see you have ex-con, I mean, ex-prez Erap for a guest... Where and when were you friends? I can't seem to recall the two of you brushing elbows in the past... but then again, I am not always attuned to the news...
Your party reception venue looks grand, it must definitely be lavish! Ergo, it must be expensive. Your friends would reason that you deserve such a party, being the mother of the Pambansang Kamao or National Fist, Manny Pacquiao. I also believe you deserve happiness and merrymaking, I just hope, kinda hope, that you don't get too overwhelmed by the noise of the party that you don't already know if you are enjoying the party or your guests are laughing at you...
By the way, I am a humble Filipino mylotter who wishes better news for our suffering people, instead of seeing Jinkee talk about your million buck bag. After the party, I do hope you take a look back and start feeding the undernourished children instead of dancing...
Sorry mylotters, I had to write this before we begin to believe that getting from rags to riches means lavish partying...

Mommy D indeed made a news out of herself. Honestly I do not know why her birthday party had seemed to be an issue here. After all, it is her birthday and it is her money..or her son's money. Either way, she is altogether a different person from Manny-which is the politician here and with that I think we should give her some slack.Let the "girl" enjoy..for cripes sakes. For me she is still a girl.LOL
We'll worry about the underfed children when it's Manny's time to celebrate, shall we? I had fun while reading your post though. PEACE

I am a bit bothered by the flamboyant show of wealth. Once upon a time, all Mommy D wanted was to feed her children dailym abnd probably get them to school for education. I do not believe Mommy D cared for a mansion for a home, nor a new bag for a gift, nor a party for her birthday. I believe that she would be the happiest mother already if she sees her children safe and sound in a happy home. All the things she is doing now are created for her. If someone could tell her that the lifestyle of the rich and famous does not really suit her personality and character, then she would have happily been doing more substantial work.

Yes, it is a sad observation that some people seem to be taking advantage of her. I just hope that she get to realize it on own her soon. I wished we could point it out to her..and she in turn will listen to us. But I guess, it is her own fight.I hope then that she'll win it..just like how her son won his fights.

I agree with what you said, eileenleyva. She doesn't really know that the masses are making fun of her. No matter what gown she wear or how extravagant her party is, she is still the public's clown. It is funny that how Manny Pacquiao got a mother like that when Manny is a humble guy.

Actually, the lack of finesse and sensibility is largely due to the lack of education. Mommy D is made to believe that she is supposed to act that way. People are taking advantage of her and Manny's money. And the media is not helping at all.

I don't know. It's true that people are taking advantage of the fame and money Manny has, but to act that way...I don't know. There are some people that reached wealth and was lacked of education, but they never acted as funny as she does.
And to be ultra - extravagant in times of hunger? Well, she (Mommy D) should know better since she's been there.

hi eileen wow what a heartless woman partyng and having a million buck Hermes scarf when your Filipino friends are suffering hardships
and children go hungry. As a lowly American does this woman not have
it in her power to do a lot of good for the filipino people if
she would forgo the lavish partying and spend the money for the
good of the people of the Philippines.if she went from rags to riches why is she not working to put that money to the best possible helping her own fellow Filipinos? I do feel for you. hugs from
hatley. Her million dollar bag co uld have fed a lot of undernourished filipino children instead of wasted on a handbag.

The bag could have nourished a thousand children, yes, that is why I am risking the ire of many fans here. I know that deep in her heart, Mommy D doesn't need that bag.

I don't think it's purely Aling D's fault, these media people made her popular and put her in he spotlight like his son. I won't mind her asking Manny for that million bucks bag, everyone has their own wishes and fortunately for her someone can give it to her. The only thing that irritates me is how every detail of their things and party is publicized, they could have set it quietly and invited people who are close to the celebrant and not celebrities and politicians who really doesn't care about them and just wanted to be seen with them. This insensitive public display of lavishness shows the weakness of the Pacquiao family. I never liked Jinkee too. Sorry to say but she's too arrogant, it's so obvious. As for Aling D let's just say.... partly ignorant.

Funny, I haven't really given Jinkee much thought, even at the height of controversy with Krista Ranillo. There is something lacking in her which I still can't figure out... probably I yet have to see her as real wife and mother....

Ex-con-Ex-pres Erap once co-starred with Mommy Dionisia in a film years ago (i think so!). Oh yeah! Mommy Dionisia is a celebrity, movie star and endorser too! See what money este Manny can do for you!
I have high regard for how Mommy Dionisia had brought up Manny in spite of their financial situation before. Mommy Dionisia in a number of interviews had told everybody how hard it is to raise your children in the middle of poverty. She had somewhat succeeded in being a mother to a very successful child that is "Manny". It is just saddening in spite of the fact that she has been given the chance to help people who had been living the same life as she did before, she would rather use her time and all her resources to party and to buy her things that eventually (in spite of their skyrocketing price) won't really matter in the end.

I do admire Mommy D. She reared Manny the best way a mother can. We have a Manny Pacquiao diligent and hardworking, responsible and kind, helpful and friendly. Most of all, Mommy D instilled in Manny fortitude. That is Manny's strongest trait, his fear of the Lord. I am happy for Mommy D enjoying the fruits of her faith and I do hope she gets free from all abusive people who try to belittle her person without her realizing it.

Hi eileenleyva I too am annoyed why the media wastes their time on putting "Mommy D" on the news. I don't even get the importance of SHOWING OFF her things and her new dance moves. It's because of news like this that I don't like to watch the Late afternoon news. The media has lost their sense of responsibility to their audience. Showing this king of information to the public doesn't help the population. I also hope "Mommy D" learns the meaning of the word "huility" in the future because Manny won't be that rich someday.

The news is supposed to be celebrity or sports news. I would have liked it if they transform Mommy D's image to that of genuine philanthropist. That would have been more in character. You see her photos now, young people do not take her seriously. The press people should given her a more respectable image.

Mommy D had been made a public figure because of her son. She is of human interest that's why the media keep on making tabs of her affairs. People love to see her on the tube because of her uncanny ability to make people laugh..or smirk for that matter. Either way, she is so "saleable".
She irritates me sometimes but more often than not, she makes me smile. I just really wished that people-politicians, to be more apt, won't take advantage of her and her family.

the way Mommy Dionisia Pacquiao reacts to wealth and luxury is a reflection of where she came from (not intended as sarcasm). the wealthy and educated may have reacted differently (or maybe worst ) and could have become more silent or less noisy but would spend that lavish in a party, too.
the sad thing about this whole thing sometimes is they (the ones who suddenly get rich out of nothing) forget where they came from, and that people, a lot of them, are suffering from lack and poverty.
they may say 'what do i care? this is our money we are spending' but there should always be that consideration that many people are suffering.

Well. It is nice to know that we still have that concern for our Mommy D she is just amazing, but the bag was just too expensive and she deserves it. hmmm I'd just wish she turns to those who still have nots' I mean even until their last day on this earth their money will still be earning interest. The Rich the poor(apathy, emphaty, and selfishness)

The way people around the Pacquiaos are abusing them, that wealth might be in danger. The sooner Manny realizes this, the better for his family and himself.
