Recently, I noticed that the current bench strength of India is really strong. I mean if you take the first choice players from the playing 11, you can still form a VERY good second string team which can almost beat any teams in the world. The first choice players are Sehwag, Tendulkar, Gambhir, Kholi, Yuvraj, Dhoni, and Rain. Have a look at what our team could like if replaced by a second unit: Parthiv Patel, R Uthapha, S Badrinath, Rohit Sharma, Rahul Dravid, Yousuf Pathan, Murali Vijay, C Pujara.
This team can still compete with top teams in the world. isn't it?

ya Indian team is having good back up, the bench strength of the indian team is very very good.
specially in batting.
but in bowling indian team need to improve more.
tournaments like IPL had brought the new young faces to the cricket and given chance for them to perform.
bow they can play against quality opposition and improve their talent.
surely the IPL has added the bench strength of Indian team.

Going by the performances of Indian cricketers in the Indian Premier League, International tourneys, A tours and Under 19 competitions, India surely is not lacking in top quality talent. Especially in batting, India has enough firepower to play any top international side especially in subcontinent conditions. But talent is no use without enough opportunities. So, talented cricketers need to be given enough chances so that they can showcase their potential and cement their spot in the Indian side. Ideally, we should have a proper pool of 25 to 35 top notch cricketers where every player gets enough matches through a rotation policy like Australia used to do till recently.

your are right but here you forgot about the bowling which is weak point for all and considering batsmen to do well all time will not work
INDIA has many good batsmen in for backup which can make more than 5 teams and i think not a single good bowling strength which could be in a team.
This difference need to tackle out i think we need good pace bowlers.

Well, Vince, great thought. To be honest, it is possible. However in crunch situations when experience is required and the going gets tough, this team could fail badly. However, yes this team, I feel could be a match winner in twenty twenty where additional firepower rather than experience works.
