What's the worst, most painful thing you've done recently?

Me, it was trapping my best typing pinkie in my car door. Just got the Citroen Xsara Picasso 2 weeks ago, and it's wider than my old Almera, so I end up having to wriggle out sometimes. Result - the door closed back on my left forefinger - right on the tip.
Next day, AGONY and a big black fingernail - even the skin around it was discoloured. Trip to ER, to have hole made in nail to drain the blud (don't like typing or even thinking about the real thing.)
Nurse said "We've never had a whole black one before - you'll probably lose the nail."
Sooner rather than later hopefully. It's still agony and effectively reduced my typing speed by 50%!

I'm a contact lens wearer, and swear by Blink eye drops. Sore, itchy eyes are horrid - they make you feel tired and miserable.

Hello visit nearby nearby wallgreens, or CVS pharmacy. On the counter itself you have Visine eye drops Advanced lubrication. Eyes sore because of dry eyes. I used it. It is good. However first time apply only one drop in one eye and check up and after being satisfied apply in the other eye and take further drops as required. I am not a doctor. still out of experience.

Like you, i had finger injured too. I was in a rush to close my drawer at the office , since i have to go home early and do some groceries, when this happened. I pushed the drawer in a rush, without thinking that when i did so i accidentally had my right pointer finger in it yet! It was so painful, i had to press it with my other fingers on the left so it would at least stop throbbing. I had it rubbed with a hot compress when i got home.
Anyway, the next day it blackened.

Sorry - late reply. Mine just came off. All dried congealed blood attached to it. Horrid! Now it looks like I really bite my nails in just that one spot.

hi jazzsue recently oh yes the day after Val entines day around five I had just had dinner and was intent on getting upstairs with my bag of potato chips and a rootbeer soda. bad idea was not looking at the floor. someone had spilled a whole glass of water, my feet slipped out from under me landing me face down on the tile floor. oh myg. blood from a cut above myeye and a broken nose. pain oh yes pain when the paramedics got to my feet and I bore all my weight on my right knee I screamed and collapsed. oh x ray allup and down my right side, nothing broken so send her b ack to Gold c rest. when Iwent to get off the gurney in my room the same thing I could not stand on my right let. something was really wron with my knee. so next mo rning then the nurse rezlioze I really was in serious pain back to different ER then to Care house a rehab hospitsl where I spent 20o days getting my right knee healed. its still got some pain yet. that is my worst most painful thing

Oh my God. My pinkie is hiding under a roll-on bandage now, throbbing like mad, but it's nothing compared to what you suffered.
You definitely get my "Injury of the Month" award.

Painful mentally -- yes. I had to pluck a few spiders in my son's house here in USA. I understand in this season u get a lot of insects in the house. I had to do this because I wanted to safeguard my 4 month old grand son. After all that is also life. I cannot create one life but am destroying one or two. that is what is paining me. We live in the place where they have to. But we kill the insects for us to survive. I think this experience may be there for people here in USA

Ha! I was brought up not to kill spiders and even now I avoid killing them. Something my granny told me about them killing flies went deep when I was a kid. But harvestmen are another matter. Ugh! All those legs, and that eensy little body.
I had one drop on a book I was reading once. SLAM! And then I saw the legs sticking out, still twitching ...

Once,i come with my family to have a trip.we all very happy that day.then we take the ticket to get on the train.then i realized that i can not find my ticket.where is it?i find it everywhere.but still find nothing.what is more ?the train will be set up soon.i have no time to buy a new ticket.at last,i have no choice but to wait for the next train.

I did that recently with a new bus pass. Lost my wallet with the pass in it, had to pay my fares for the next week. Gutted!

Yes, like when you say something horrid in the heat of an argument. The only one you hurt really is yourself. Pain like that can be the worst.

Oh boy, I feel for you. I had pneumonia several years ago - I couldn't even swallow water as I couldn't breathe. Hope you feel better soon!

not too long ago I had a chair collapse. I had no idea that it was in such bad shape but when I leaned back on it the whole thing gave way. I hit my head on a bench that was behind me and let me tell you not only was my head hurting but I tried to catch myself and that was the worst thing I could do! I was so stiff the next day! Hope your pinkie is better soon!

Ow. That sounds like me in the ice last year. When you feel your feet slidec from under you, DO NOT grab hold of a church fence post to save yourself. Cos what happens is, your feet still go all the way, and your shoulder gets wrenched out of its socket at the same time!
