Manchester United and Barcelona as all set to clash on the 28th May 2011. Its sure is gonna be an exciting game and considering that both the teams have won their respective leagues it sure is going down to the wire and be the clash of the champions. Who will steel the limelight on that given night and walk away with the title of Champions of Eurpoe??

Team work or not, a team is built around key players and key areas on the pitch, for example Blackpool are built around Charlie Adam, United have now built a system around both Berbatov and Hernandez, Rooney being the deeper role. Every successful team has key players, same with Barcelona there key players are Xavi,Messi and Iniesta keep them three quiet and you should be ok but if Messi gets freedom down the left they will definitely win the game, Messi is a handful and would need to players to close him down one to make the initial tackle and another to clear up. However doing that, would give Iniesta and Xavi no pressure at all, to try and express themselves on the pitch they also have David Villa who has great composure for these games. On the other hand, if Barcelona keep Hernandez quiet they would take away quite alot of United attack, and if they stop Rooney and Nani by playing they can control the game like they always do so well.

@adhyz82: I believe United are build on team work, and not individual skills (that is why Cristiano Ronaldo is no more United)...For that very reason, I don't think keep Chicharito out of the game will make the game any easier...Still, I have respect to what Barcelona has achieved but it does not really count into this game...No offense, my friend...

@bryanx54: I can see that all person commenting here are Barcelona's fans (as per my response time)...Nevertheless, I just wanted to throw some ideas or two for all of you (the first, of course will be you...No offense, it's just because you are the first here )...Do you think United will sit back and relax on their laurels? I don't think so, my friend...
United has won the Premier League for the 19th time, knocking off Liverpool off their perch as the most successful football team in British history...I don't think a team that great will be brushed off like that! Plus, Wembley have been their home away from home (Yeah, they have played there for more time than any other British football teams), so it will be a great boost for them...
No offense, though! Glory glory Man United!

No Offence taking my friend, i like to be civil here, i honestly don't think United will relax either as i said 'i hope' meaning i know i could be wrong. I would be a fool to say United aren't one of the best teams in England but in Europe you are not well not at the moment anyway ;), but yeah i hope Barcelona beat you but that is solely because im a pool fan haha, im just excited for hopefully an awesome final whatever the result.
It's about time a United got on here and spoke out, i think your first to reply. anyway take care.
You'll never walk alone ;) ha

@bryanx54: Oh, I got a Liverpool fan here! Anyway, just throwing out some ideas or two...Perhaps everyone has their own opinion to say and their own team to support, so let it be...Being die-hard United since my childhood days makes me behave like this...I believe some of us will do the same regardless of their team, hence my reply...Still, I hope this game will live to our expectation regardless of the result...Frankly, Barcelona is favorite but United is still a team to beat before taking the European Cup home...
Well, take care my friend...United is coming your way!

@rising3: I got a United here! So, that simply makes us brothers then...
Wembley has been home away from home for us, so I think we will want all but to lose here...Perhaps being familiar to the turf can be some help to us, to let's hope for the best and let the best team walk away with the prize!
Glory glory Man United!

@liv_fc: Obviously you are a Liverpool fan, like my friend bryanx54 but nevertheless I would still respond to this...
Although Barcelona is simply one of the best football teams in the world, it does not mean they are invincible...They can be defeated, and I don't think Sir Alex Ferguson would let his celebration of 19th title end up in sour note like that...That is applicable for van der Sar as well...The Dutchman will end his service at this very season, so I don't think he will let too many balls got past him either...
Also for your information, Sir Alex Ferguson has already taking initial means by seeking for some clues from Barcelona's arch rival manager(s)...So, let's see how he will answer that very question in the final...
No offense, though...Glory glory Man United!

livecenter I think that Barca will beat, not because I'm Liverpool fan, but because they are better. Man Utd were weak this season in Premiership, but every other team was weaker than them. This year the level in England was low. I don't like the way of play of Barcelona with all the simulation and the slow football, but I think that they will beat Man Utd. In a matter of fact I will support Man Utd in the final just because I'm Bulgarian and I will be happy if Dimitar Berbatov wins a medal, cause this will be his 3rd final, but he lost the past two.

@ybar13: I don't think you can conclude it simply like that, my friend...Both teams are champions and I believe this will be a tight match...No offense, but it won't be an easy day for Barcelona...

keenan_savio,
I am not sure how the clash would go especially after a failed gagged order by United's prolific player - Ryan Giggs went all sorts last week.
I believe it will affect the team as a whole in morale and it will be about time some of their wildly active players will be affected with expose spectacles in time to come.
The game indeed is becoming out of sorts with outside rigging, bribery and of late scandals. I hope that the finals would not be anything short of entertaining and good fair honest play from both sides.
