Late Lunch

We´ve just been out for lunch with friends locally and got back at 11pm. Lunch was followed by coffee out, and then suddenly it was time for dinner and they were cooking again. It seems to happen every time that when we see these particular friends we get pleasantly delayed. Do you have friends that you just don´t seem to be able to get away from?

Yes..if distance didn't keep us so far apart we would be together all the time..but she lives 200 miles from me...however I am lucky to have another friend whom I can spend as much time with as I want here too! We always have an awesome time!

I have a friend who's company I'm happy to just hang about in. We don't have to be doing anything particular. It's nice.

Hi. GreenMoo. Well, will my mother-in-law do instead of a friend? If so, this is one person that I can think of that will make me become off schedule in a heart beat. Before she comes along, I will have everything in order, and then when she starts to talk to me, I will get off track and be late. So yes, I have someone that I can't seem to be able to get away from. This seems to happen to me a whole lot too. Not just a few times.

So many people struggle to get on with their MIL that I think it's quite nice that you're able to get along so well :)

Yes, I have a couple of friends, a married couple, that I know I'll visit awhile with each time. When I lived near them and we made plans, we all knew we might as well set aside the day and half the night for our visits! I live a long way from them now but we phone about once a month and talk for at least an hour. I've known these people for nearly 20 years and feel blessed to have such wonderful friends.

I think that is what I need to do, block out a whole afternoon and plan accordingly.

hi GreenMoo no but I wish I did as it wo uld be something new besides thge same old same old here at Gold C rest.It sounds like you all were having such a good time and it was pleasant for you.way to go.This used to happen with me when I would take my two toddlers down the street to my moms house we ended up staying for supper and then I dashed hbome to make supper for my returnning husband. But it soon became a bit much as I had a family of my own and needed time with my own husband so we had to cut short some of these visits. I never had mother__in __law problems as she lived in a different state. lol

My mother in law lives in a different country! So does my own Mum. We don't get out very much as we have such a busy life at home, but it's really good to relax once in a while.

Yes, I have this one very good friend and when we get the chance to hang out it turns into a whole day and night. It's good to just chill and have fun. We all need that in our lives. I had, years back, some people that me and my ex called friends, that later turned out to be snakes in the grass. We used to spend lots of time with them and sometimes we could not get rid of them. Unfortunately me and my wife broke up as a result of what they were trying to do. They accomplished splitting us up. The rest is history.

Have never worked out what sort of kick people get out of making other people unhappy like that.

when there is gathering among friends,it is difficult to know the timings of food.so one thing is engage in some physical acivities between lunch and dinner.Do some physical activities yourself though your friends follow you or not.eat smartly than overloading.

That's good advice.
