What is your favorite band?

There is one stipulation to participate in this discussion...I really want to know what your favorite band/musician is that is based out of Boston. With the appearance of Steven Tyler on American Idol and his new solo release (which really isn't all that good, in my opinion), I am inspired to start this conversation...Steven Tyler and Aerosmith being from Boston. There are some really great Boston-based bands and I want to know who your favorites are.

I'm not quite familiar to a lot of Bostone based bands, but Aerosmith would definitely be top of my list. i grew up listening to a lot of bands my brother listens to. He is a huge fan of them that I eventually became one too.

First off . . . OMGosh .. . I meant Aussies! You know the guys from down under like ACDC. 
Secondly . . . Loved The Cars, sort of liked J. Geils Band, heard of Godsmack but never listened to any of their songs. I'm sure there's a ton more to choose from. We need a little musical anicon or whatever they call it.

My fave band is Silverchair but they're an Aussie band. I also like foo Fighters, Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer and Cradle of Filth ( Britain). I used to listen to Aerosmith back when I was 12 or 13 I guess with their hits "Crying", "Living on the Edge" and the Armageddon OST "I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing". I like steve and their guitarist Joe Perry, I think they're the most successful and the greatest Boston-based band ever. Other boston-based fave is the Cars. very classic and catchy.

My favorite Band Is Paramore. I absolutly love the lead vocal, Haley Williams. But my favorite is the beat of their songs. But mostly I listen to classical music.
